I was catching up on the news this morning and when I heard that bit when Trump said "they're eating our dogs, they're eating our cats" about migrants my natural reflex was to change channels. It was sooo cringe I couldnt watch it.

She needs to nail down stronger policy message IMO for some of the more intelligent floating voters. There wasnt too much substance to what she said, but Trump was handing her tap-ins with what he was saying (I havent seen it all yet)

I caught the last half hour and watched the first hour this morning.

She did exactly what she needed by baiting him to reveal just how insane he now is.

- The moderators only fact-checked Trump and not Kamala
- Kamala had been given notice of the questions beforehand

So I'm assuming Trump didn't fare very well.

Mainstream media in the USA has not been covering Trump's mental decline and have been giving him a free pass on it. Something they did not give to Biden.

Last night (every channel covered the debate) they couldn't hide it anymore. The man is a bonafide lunatic. His eating cats and dogs comments were there for all to see.

At least now we know what happened to Snowball.

The real issue is that there aren't really that many undecided voters, especially in the places that will really determine who wins. So even such a poor Trump performance doesn't mean it's a foregone conclusion.

It kind of says everything that despite the type of person than Trump is, it is still a close call. I'm not convinced by Harris' competency, if the Republicans had a half decent non-controversial candidate, they would probably win fairly easily.

No, he said they ARE eating them.

Love the fact it is supposedly in a town called Springfield. Can't imagine The Simpsons passing up the opportunity to use that.

Eating pets is clearly wrong but I like how that's where he draws the line and not at gunmen killing kids in schools.
