Although I think he’s very overrated by some also
Fantastic manager and you were lucky to have him, to begin tidying up the shiiit show that has been your club of late
Hardly fantastic. Won a couple of trophies with PSG as you'd expect anyone to, and is now managing USA.
The Poch cult is insane.
He wouldn’t even have a top flight career post Spurs were it not for Kane, who had to force himself into the team because Poch kept sticking with Loldado
He lost the league in France...while managing PSG

There’s are a million and one excuses for this too. Maresca coupd win the league and I guarantee you some of his cult would say Poch paid the groundwork.
Let’s try that again.

We schooled him in a CL final, by playing a behind-the-doors match against Benfica's B team as part of our preparations

Yep, genuinely the easiest final I’ve ever seen us win.
Not our fault Sissoko thought he was playing netball
I think Poch is just past it or hasn’t been a good fit elsewhere.
His time at Spurs was tremendous and those thinking he relied on Kane could not be more wrong - our win % under him was higher with Kane out and Sonny up top - although of course that was a smaller data set of games.
Our CL run was carried out the season where we did not make a single signing and Kane was injured in the 1st leg of the quarters. We didn’t have Kane or Son for the second leg of the semi.
He had us in the top 4 for most of his tenure and we’d only qualified for the CL once before he arrived.
Sure pick holes in his other jobs, but he was fantastic at Spurs and probably peaked. The final season, I felt he needed more time but his 2 big transfers were huge errors and Levy cut ties. Neither Spurs or Poch have been as good since.
We won 2-0 anyway with 65% possession. Easy.

It’s the final I am most bitter about, Liverpool weren’t any good but didn’t have to be because we were so poor on the day.
Penalty in the first minute and then both teams played complete schitt, Liverpool barely mounted an attack the rest of the game, it was like watching a Jose side. Spurs were completely ineffective with the ball - which will happen when you have Sissoko and Winks playing.
There was no schooling though whatsoever, it was just incredibly dull and effectively settled by a stupid handball in minute 1
We dominated the game with & without the ball. One of the best performances from a Klopp Liverpool team.
Intensity, aggression, passion and insane level of focus for in-game management. Peak Klopp's Liverpool characteristics

Funnily enough, we also had 65% possession in the schooling we gave you last season at our gaff.
Before you get all salty, it’s not our fault that Diaz convinced the linesman he was offside, that VAR forgot how to apply the rules, that you lot kept giving the ref no choice but to red card you and Matip forgot which way you were shooting that half.

Just owned them really. They were extremely lucky to be there in the first place. Spurs fans will tell you it’s Poch, but in reality it was Lucas amours having one of his five good games a season.
