Fantastic manager and you were lucky to have him, to begin tidying up the shiiit show that has been your club of late
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How are you doing currently with the Aussie son....your board would suggest you aint happy, maybe you'd like him back eh
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't pay attention to the negativity on our board.

We beat a team 3-0 with 10 men because we continued to attack them and fans are moaning that we conceded chances.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A very simplistic view

Fans aren’t moaning, they are concerned with the sustainability of the tactic, especially against better sides - let’s not forget Pochs Chelsea hammered us 4-1 in the end after we just kept attacking.

We can’t all be happy clappers, some think objectively and over the longer term

None of you were thinking objectively the day after that 4-1 defeat to us last season. Not a single poster on your board.

I tried to warn you a manager who does that, plays that aggressively with 9 men, is naïve af (despite the players performances being courageous) but none of you wanted to hear it.

I'm glad Arteta's Arsenal are slowly weaning the average football fan back onto the idea of a successful top team having tactical balance & a bit of needle as opposed to mindless, relentless attacking. That fad is getting annoying af.

Well he did it again last night and we won 3-0

He changed it at HT yesterday and it made a big difference - but the first half was terrifying, they could and probably should have scored 3 or 4.

I think this is what we are trying to establish with Ange, is he a slow learner or is he just stubborn and wedded to his tactics.

We’ve seen a few repeats early this season - conceding schitt goals from corners, over rotating in cup games, keeping the high line after a sending off. We got away with over rotating at Coventry, but then last night he seemed to get the rotation perfect - has he now learnt? The first half after going down to 10 we were still too gung ho, but he changed it at half time - has he now learnt.

Jury’s out

Celebrating a 3-0 win with 10 men unreservedly isn't "happy clapping" mate.

A lot of fans here seem to want to focus on the result when the result is bad and focus on the performance when the result is good.

Others have judged that Angeball isnt going to work and so are constantly looking for the flaws regardless of the result or performance.

To me, some still haven't got their head around that Angeball is high risk and high reward. We are far from being the finished product so high risk will lead to poor outcomes at times.

There's nothing objective from the likes of Fridge who state that he thinks Angeball is flawed and will not be successful. Like him, may have also rushed to judgement.

They were all really proud of being battered. Funny couple of days.

I’d say that Poch isn’t nearly as bad as a lot of Chelsea fans make him out to be, but not nearly as good as Spurs fans think he is either.

If Spurs 9 men had retreated, do you think Chelsea would have still won the game.

It's not naivety. Of course the manager will understand its high risk.

Do you expect any team to get anything out of a game with 9 men for a half. Would it be naïve to think you could?

Yep, hes a decent coach and thats about it.

My biggest gripe with him was none or late substitution issues and not being involved enough...too much time sat on his butt and not enough living it inthe technical area at times

Perfect summary

He landed on his feet with Kane , a near perfect back 4 and Dembele in beast mode

Yeah he coached us well for two years or so but the first team we had at the time I think a lot of managers would have done just as well (if not actually won something)

Yeah this is probably it for me too, seemed pretty lucky for a while at Spurs but dropped off in a really bad way.

Horrible situation at Chelsea but one he chose to put himself into.

I think he did good stuff at Southampton but beyond that he managed to luck Spurs into a CL final and has been getting top jobs off the back of that when I don't really think he's worthy.

Lucked us into a CL final ?

We were 3-0 down on Agg at one stage.

He inspired his team to come back and reach the final.

Were Liverpool lucky to come back and beat Barca the night before ?.

Probably not but there'd of been a chance, you only had to hold out for about half an hour. Doing what you did reduced that chance to next to zero, we couldn't hit a barn door at the time & stuck three past you, should tell you how tactically stupid it was.

The naivety isn't him not understanding the risk, it's him doing it anyway & thinking that's fine. In that exact instance he was fine, as Darren said you were all happy being battered for some reason, fast forward to now & that mindset is meeting a less forgiving reception.
