Our first match of the season against a team in the bottom half of the table so be good to think we can get a result in this one. And we need to with Man City the next game else we will end October a few points adrift of teams you would hope we could finish above come May, like Brentford

One where we need/hope for a good result.

Bueno is fit, Dawson has trained but not fully.

Sounds as if we could be unchanged. Its the changes from the starting line up though that are hurting, substitutions have only had a negative impact thus far, that needs to change.

Agree it seems like we will play the same defence as last week and probably the same 11. Only possible change might be Forbs or Guedes instead of Bellegarde. Certainly seems that Forbs is thought to be more ready for games than Rodrigo Gomes

Last season this was one of our best results of the season with a 4-1 win. That was at the time when Hwang was on goalscoring form and he got two. And we were helped by a couple of mistakes by our old friend Nathan Collins. More of the same please Nathan

Sasa Kalajdzic hoping to be back playing football at the end of 2024. I would expect him to get a loan in January to get back into playing again

Boubacar Traore is also expected to return around Xmas time

Bastion Meupiyou is expected to return to training next week

Brentford set a PL record last week, scoring within the first minute of 3 consecutive games. The easiest way to break that run is to win the toss, select to kick off, and then pass it back to the keeper. As long as they don't then fack it up by playing it out from the back.

I wish I hadn't just typed that.

September was Andre’s first month as a wolves player. And the fans voted him their player of the month

Wolves u21s beat Everton 4-2 on Friday night. 4-0 with half an hour to go

Looking at some of the stats and this one really stood out:

"Gary O'Neil's side have scored the fewest goals in the division after half time this season and conceded the most: one and 11 respectively."

Not easy to explain that one. Do we set out to play differently after the manager half time talk? Do the opposition suss us out in the first 45 minutes then change their tactics? Do we tire? Few experienced heads?

Probably a combination of the first two I would say.

We don't have any depth in the squad in any position.

Teams just wait it out until the inevitable first round of substitutions and hit us hard when we are significantly weakened by them. It really is that simple.

Chelsea Newcastle Villa all have better players on their benches than we have starting. Let that sink in.

Can see that WO and, of course, that is exacerbated when you play the better sides, as we have so far.

So it's also the case that the only side who do not have a deeper squad than us (arguably), Forest, are the only side who haven't scored against us in the second half.

Brentford don't have a deeper squad than us, do they?

Where do we sit on the highly subjective squad depth league table? 10th - 15th?

I would speculate at 13th to 15th.

However, according to some estimates the level we are “currently playing” at is 8th. 👍

Bellegarde the latest one on the Wolves website to come out with a statement.."one win will trigger another"

I'm getting tired of players and the manager with all this talk. Time for acton not twaddle.

Forbs starts 👍

Assuming Dawson is fully fit, this starting 11 is a slight upgrade on last week. I like Bellegarde but it's right that Forbs get his start.

Remain unconvinced by Bellegarde so happy that Forbs is in. 👍

Brentford really throwing bodies forward. Should see some space on the counter today.

WTF?

That's bust my prediction

Hmm not good this

If I was a Brentford supporter I would be really p!ssed off. With just average finishing they would have scored 8 in that half.

Woeful defending goes nowhere near covering it.
