The fella did not have the temperament or charisma to be a Manchester United manager.

I wish him well with the millions he would be getting.

Ten Hag was our modern day Dave Sexton. We'll get some flash harry in for a couple of years who will be our Big Ron.

Then in 2026 we'll go and get that Aberdeen manager that seems to be ripping it up in Scotland.

As if TH needs another £17M. Lets hope he donates it to charity as Ole did with his payoff

I said yesterday and I still wonder how much of Ruuds appointment was on the idea that they are happy to see him come in as an interim if EtH continues to be rubbish which he has been. Was never sure in Ruud and EtHs relationship either?

I was excited about EtH joining because he was young and seemed full of interesting ideas but I feel like it became very apparent early on that he just doesn’t have the charisma or character to manager a club like United.

18 month contract until after the World Cup. Caveats that it's extended if he does well and achieves targets.

He did well clearing up Koeman's mess at Barca initially didn't he? I think it'll be him. If he only sorts out the midfield that'd be something!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are a bunch of issues to sort. The main ones for me are the players’ heads, offensive patterns, the press, and build up play, probably more or less in that order.

*Broadly* we’ve seen quite an improvement in the defensive transition this season. It’s what we do at each end which needs the most work. And the facking players’ understanding of modern elite level football, which appears to be severely lacking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be honest I've no idea what they'll do. I'm just going for the easy option here!

A bit gutted. He brought us our greatest success since Fergie left. He won the FA Cup, league cup and narrowly missed out on the English super cup on penalties.

He was the most successful manager outside of Pep remaining in the PL.

I don't think we can ever find a manager that will be as good as Ten Hag, in this post Fergie era.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good grief.

Disappointed but it was inevitable.

There’s the positive feeling that comes with change now… I wonder how long that will last!

As much as it's the correct decision I also hope all those players take a long, hard look at themselves in the mirror

————-

Still broken since SAF gave Tevez the same advice
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You really think they gonna have a word, these fools live/love to look in the mirror..
So now this has happened, hit the reset, and blow it all up.
I want Rashford, Bruno, Shaw, Maguire, Dalot, Lindleof gone. Gone gone gone.
Get rid of those players that have been there with multiple managers on their body count.
Clear it out. And replace them..

It'll last until Southgate signs that contract

I am a bit torn on Southgate. He has done an incredible job at England, getting them to back to back finals. So I would generally be happy with a guaranteed European final next year, given we have better players at our disposal than England.

However, he has not won any of those finals. I do not want to get to that CL final next season and end up coming up short with a flat performance.

We want to be WINNING the finals not just getting to them. We have standards at United and those standards involve WINNING trophies.

Yeh, that was totally bizarre. Meanwhile Amad was sat on the bench.

Could have even started Hojlund and dropped Zirkzee back.

Most of thought ETH would be a good appointment 2 and half years ago tbf.

Maybe a manager not really fancied wil be the one who actually does well? For that reason I'm giving up on giving my preferences.

No striker could thrive under ETH as long as his two favorite wingers were shooting systematically from tight angles rather than putting the ball in the box. Pep, Arteta or Klopp would never accept that.

🤣

Existing wealth or not, £17 million is no small amount. I’m not sure about EtH’s altruistic intentions, but he certainly won’t be donating that sum to any cause, why should he? If an employer is foolish enough to offer such a severance package, it’s on them and the employee alone. I understand your comment was likely made in jest and doesn’t really require a response, but I felt compelled to reply anyway!
