I have never ever seen a team so bad at defending any ball into the box!!! Truly abysmal every single time.

Omnishambles defensively yet again.
Difficult to see where a win is coming from.

Ran needs dropping, he flatters to deceive.
We look so much better when Lemina is on the pitch.
posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
We need to score three to win a game of football.
It’s a big ask.
posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
3 points after 10 games I reckon we are doomed.
We certainly are if we keep playing like that.
Something needs changing.

RAN isn't sure what he is supposed to be doing today I don't think. But he was pretty terrible regardless.
All our players are depreciating in front of our eyes right now, Fosun won't like that.

Andre. What a move that was. He must be fuming with himself for taking the move.
posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
come on they chose to come to the Prem and must prove themselves, we have a good manager and good players but you need to be very good to stay in the Prem, the Palace manager came across well in his Sky interview, honest ,
posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
we can certainly get a lot of points over the next sequence of games but obviously need a win to kick start it
posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
Some of our play looks pretty good but if we are gonna concede two goals a game then I don't know how we pick up wins. Defensively we are truly atrocious with anything coming into the box.
posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
Truly amazed that selling our best defender and not replacing him has made such a difference
posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
Terrible first half between two struggling teams, Pss as lace marginally better. No surprise when they went ahead and Wolves didn’t look good enough to come back but they did. Cunha who’d been off it much of the game played a big part in both goals. But we weren’t good enough defensively to secure the win. And we were probably lucky to see Palace’s third disallowed
Semedo and Santi our best in that first half, Sarabia a waste of space. We improved after the break but always looked open defensively. Lemina and Guedes helped us a lot. Over the 90 Joao Gomes our best player
Southampton at home next week which has to be last chance saloon for GON
posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
Not even sure GON survives til Monday. Fairly clear what the crowd were thinking today.
Fosun cannot be happy with where this is going despite it being mostly their doing.
posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
Frankly, we need to go on a hell of a run to stand a chance of staying up.
Possible, but how many games have we not had a win.
I can see Fosun acting very soon, but who do they bring in.

Ok, I think we all see that we need a coach that can sort us out defensively without diminishing our attacking threat, but this isn't all on O'Neil, Hobbs and Shi decided not to invest in better defenders when we had the opportunity to do so. Some appalling decisions were made over the summer by those two and no amount of whinging at referees can distract from the fact that their decisions have weakened our squad and alienated fans. Guo needs to wake up and see that Shi needs to be replaced by someone with a sporting and preferably football background before his pet project turns in to chore. It's going to take a massive effort in January to avoid relegation and I don't trust them to get it right. In addition to an experienced coach we need two full backs, a centre back and a keeper to give us any chance of staying up in my view.

surely our owners have invested huge sums, taken us to new levels , fantastic players, or am I missing something?

Something clearly changed a couple of years ago regarding Fosun. Since then we have certainly scrimped and scraped a lot more.
Not sure who is responsible for the current transfer strategy but it certainly makes little sense.
Andre? Clearly a quality player but did we need to spend 20 million on a player that didn't fit the game plan this season.
Rodrigo? Not even getting a sniff and cost 10 million so what was the point in him coming in.
Johnstone, although shat, i get that we thought Sa was leaving.

And of course ignoring clear and obvious parts of the team, primarily defence.
all of that is true Cinci, we have not spent money in the right place , the team is unbalanced, the coaching currently not up to scratch and probably are one match away from the sack, in the circumstances the team spirit seems pretty good, we can still pull it around but getting more difficult
I’m getting a feeling of DejaVu here.
We are in the exact same place as when we sacked Bruno Lage a couple of years ago.
Fosun have repeated mistakes of the past, and will need to spend massive amounts in January to have any chance of survival in the big league. They could have given GON an extra £60m in the summer and avoided the need to spend over £100m in January.
Our defence needs a complete overhaul now.
This mess is on Fosun, but GON is far from blameless. We’ve been crap since the cup defeat to Coventry in March.
Teams just need to put the ball into our penalty area and let our CB’s and Keeper do the rest. Shambles.
Disappointing result yesterday and for a large part a disappointing performance. We always looked vulnerable defensively and upfront we had Larsen looking isolated as Cunha played too wide and Sarabia a passenger. Never want to see him in a Wolves shirt again. The crowd was very quiet and tense but only really turned against GON when he took Doyle off. Not as though he was having a good game. The substitutions actually helped us a lot on the day. Guedes miles better than Sarabia. Lemina came on instead of Doyle and had his best game of the season. And although it was a surprise to see Bellegarde go left back it at least allowed Ait Nouri to go forward more. He made good runs forward but regularly lost possession. But that change at least resulted in Cunha playing closer to Larsen and that resulted in us turning the game around.
Big team decisions next week against Southampton. Don’t care if that’s the most boring game of football ever seen as long as we get 3 points.
