Surely he can just refuse to do half of them. He said this week's he's spoken more to the media than a whole year at sporting or something.
posted 3 days, 22 hours ago
I think he now realises how big the job is. I feel that he thinks that there is a real lack of football intelligence here, compared to what he has been used to. But that's the test for him, and of course we all hope he passes it He acknowledges he doesn't like all the scrutiny, but he just needs to cope with that also.
No doubt he'll make mistakes, get frustrated at times, but you sense the real belief he has in his ability to get to where he wants, but that it will take time.
It's hard to be patient, but we have no choice but to be so.

He hinted at as much in the interview when he said he did them this week but has spoken to someone (can’t remember the name he said) and from now on he wants to work with his players. I think he was basically saying that he’s done all that was asked in his first week or two but now it’s down to work. Although obviously there will be obligations he has to adhere to.

He's just said something about doing more interviews in a week than he's done in 4 years at Sporting. 😂
Obviously said tongue in cheek but I actually have to agree with him there. The amount of repetition they have to do with the countless media channels is stupid.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not right now, though.
Compromise was ETH’s downfall, ultimately. Amorim needs to employ his system, employ his standards, and hammer both into the players relentlessly.
Fack the results; he needs to update United, and a large part of that is going to be working out which players suit the roles which need filling, buy in and commit, and which need shipping out.
There’s no point in moderation and compromise to try to create a style of play which better suits the players we have in order to quick-fix results if that ultimately at best delays the project and at worst sees it fail completely.

If the players realise he's not for turning then they have two options. Shape up or accept they'll no longer have a future. For all of these players it won't get any better in terms of size of club and salary.
I think we'll see pretty quickly which players he trusts and which he doesn't really rate in terms of a long term future.

You could have Pep, Ferguson, Klopp, Tuchel or any other top manager at Man Utd and they will struggle to win games of football. I honestly think we have the worst attack in the history of football. It actually cracked me up when they said ten hag relies on individual brilliance. These players literally the worst finishing team in history of football.

I have been watching Man Utd games from around 1997 and this current strike force is the worst I have seen of any team in football, let alone Man Utd. If I was the Man Utd owner, I would get rid of Garnacho, Rashford, Zirkzee, Mount and even Fernandes. ten Hag was working miracles really, we were creating more than most of our title winning squads to average just over a goal a game after he took the job.

I would say that the way Amorim comes across is more compelling. I think ETH has always struggled to communicate clearly. And he never have a distinctive style of play - all he said was that he didn't have the players to do what he wanted.
Amorim appears different, in that he accepts it's up to him to get the players into his way of thinking but accepts it will take time to do this.
Of course before any new manager there is optimism, but you can be more convinced by some than others.
We won't know until a few months down the road, but it would be disappointing and surprising if there is not a good degree of improvement shown - that is my genuine feeling

The key questions are whether he and his team are able to recognise which players have the capacity to fit the system and can actually be brought up to speed mentally and physically, and whether the sporting hierarchy understands his needs and are able to shift those who don’t/can’t and bring in the right players to fill the gaps over the next five or six windows.
