"[Kane] keeps himself to hemself if utterly professional and has made the very best of his natural talent, which is considerably less than Rashfords."

----

In what way is Rashford more 'naturally talented' than Kane?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you facking kidding me? Pure pace, great finisher, brilliant dribbler, banging in goals and given a chance to play for the biggest club in the world from 17 till now? You guys do not understand the talent being wasted by Rashford? There was a moment at his peak he was being compared to Mbappe (billioniare rated player).
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course not, developing earlier just means you're more precocious, not that you have more natural talent.

Lukaku was banging in more goals at 16 than either of the other two at 18 or 19, doesn't mean he was more naturally talented. Rashford never even hit 10 league goals until he was 21 anyway. It's like suggesting that someone whose voice breaks earlier is a more naturally talented singer.

Breaking through for an underperforming side under a manager who -as others stated- is renowned for his trust in youth, isn't an indicator of 'natural talent' either.

The club where you break through is largely a product of circumstance too. At 17, Rashford, Raúl and Maradona were playing for Man United, Real Madrid, and Argentinos Juniors, respectively.

Any guesses as to why was each one of those players at each one of those teams? Which of the three was the most naturally talented?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm assuming all of them where. We had Pogba too, scholes, Giggs. At the end, the difference between a naturally talented teenager and a world class footballer is their development which is really the entire point with Rashford and Garnacho.

What I am sure of is Rashford was a precocious talent. Maybe bringing him too soon was a problem but if honed well would have been indispensable

I feel like he may have lost a lot of pace over the first 10 yards, he used to get past defenders fairly regularly when there was space in behind.

What grinds me is the lack of willingness to work off the ball, that's inexcusable in my book.

Garnacho hasn't been playing well but he will put a shift in.

I believe every player loses pace in his mid 20s but if you are maturing progressively you get to adjust to it. Ifor example I always believed fat R9 was as dangerous in a different way that the blistering pace merchant he was at his younger years. The 30+ welbeck is better than anything we saw with us.

Not all players adapt their game as they get older though and Rashford has never shown he has the footballing intelligence to adapt and use other attributes. Pace has always been one of his key strengths and when that’s gone I don’t see him offering much else. It happens all the time to players who rely heavily on their pace.

R9 peaked at Barca, his pace combined with dribbling and finishes were incredible. Over time he adapted and always kept his finishing but he wasn’t at the same level as he was during his time at Barca. Strange comparison when Rashford is nowhere near his level and doesn’t possess Ronaldo’s finishing and drubbing talents, let alone the mental toughness Ronaldo showed to get over his injury nightmares at Inter.

Looking likely he'll be gone during the January transfer window. The below is from an interview with Henry Winter:

"For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.” All of his words were prefaced with respect for the club which has been his home for almost 20 years. “When I leave it's going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.

"If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me.” From the heart as he’ll always be a Red? “Yes! 100%. 100%.”
