It's definitely a country worth visiting and folk shouldn't be put off by the expense. Visa is £100ish, flights can be bought for £500, I stayed in a 3 star hotel in Fuzhou for £50 a night.

Eating out over there makes the difference. The food is insanely cheap. You'd pay more in Mcdonalds then you would in a reasonable dumpling place.

Cause he made ignorant comments about our youth cause he’s still stuck in that time when Chelsea were bad for youth products

Now we have the best academy - frankly in the world - by production of top players and a good chunk make our first team

But Crooks really doesnt seem to keep up well with football for someone that writes about it in such a high profile spot. I only read his team to see if the goalscoring CBs make it in

I mean fair's fair. If you want credit for the youth coming through you have to acknowledge how you got there. Making out like it's all great coaching or whatever like what you'd typically expect is a bit off.

Thats got little to do with the Crooks issue

His was more about us bringing talent through the first team. which is something we fixed and he seems to be living in a different year

I think the major diff is how much money we offer on youth contracts vs other clubs. City seem to be catching up with that

Previous wisdom was its too risky to invest higher wages in youth contracts, but we've made such a profit via the loaning system and sales that it looks like pittance in comparison
