My thoughts exactly Hengy. It's a fine line between saying what you want to happen and being a caant if it doesn't

He is our worst evaluated player in our current squad. I don't mind people having issues with him, but criticisms are so OTT and largely miss his biggest flaws in my opinion.

he had 11 goals and 4 assists in 18 starts for us last season the way people talk about him is insane

it seems like half our fans genuinely think that Johnson and Richy are championship players

It's classic scapegoating. They're frustrated with the lack of new signings and now it's easy to make it his fault

My view on Richy is:

+'s
* Great in the air
* Very strong runner
* Very strong presser
* Able to produce moments of magic
* Positional versatility

-'s
* Injury prone
* Not a great passer
* Inconsistent finishing and hold-up play

Johnson 10 assists right?

Love to see him improve this season. Seems very timid at times and should have even better assist numbers and lot more goals

I’m not the biggest Richy fan but I do like his personality.

That's fair enough I reckon but the last one is a big one.

Poor hold up play is pretty criminal for a top 4/6 pl target man and it reflects on both his technique and physicality. I don't hate him but I'm also going to be very frustrated if we don't sign at least decent competition for him

I guess the thing is I don't really see him as much of a target man & don't think that is the profile he is expected to play.

Right he's not a target man but it's what we need, or at least for him to perform a bunch of those functions effectively. In a lone striker role holding up the ball is pretty crucial, whatever you call him

Depends how the front three is constructed, with the lack of a top winger we do require more from the front man. Traditionally in Ange systems the front man isn't expected to do any hold-up play.
