He should be getting fired. He has been hopeless.

His team selection today cost him. He needs to put a stop to the tinkering and the 2nd half was better.
Football is crazy sometimes and he could probably get a result against the mousers.

Ye he might do but it would be harsh and stupid. The real issue is you moving from manager to manager with no sense of any continuity in styles. The big reason we are doing so well isn't that Slot is some sort of footballing god but that he's not a million miles from Klopp in terms of style. Impossible job for amorim making something of this season imo

Suicidal starting XI, as pretty much everyone could see before a ball was kicked.
Fortunately Newcastle kinda declared after half an hour. Could’ve got really ugly if they’d carried on playing at 100%.

I was called all sorts of names when I said this.
Apparently “adults” know this team won’t be relegated.
As Neville said, the worst pound for pound country in this country.

Amorim's successor at Sporting has been sacked already.
My money is on Amorim to go back to Sporting in January.
OGS will then take Utd to the end of the season, just about keeping them up.

He shouldn't get sacked unless we go down (which we won't) but he shouldn't remain in the post if the owners aren't prepared to back him.

Wumming aside, I do contemplate why managers would come in mid season. Some do it because they don't have a club, others because they are on the verge of being ousted. Amorim was doing well but he chose to jump ship. Why not do it until the season ends?

It is Ineos, those folks you were their number one fan that should be gone! They set this manager to fail keeping the bald fraud.

If the owners got him in to turn the club around long term then they should be willing to ride it out this season and back him these next two windows. We are desperate for a win from somewhere though.
A positive from tonight was that Mainoo did look up for the fight and I hope Amorim settles on him with Ugarte for now. They're the most mobile two in there unless he's willing to play Bruno there which means less control.

He has to drop his favourites:
Lisandro
Hojlund
Zirkzee
Dalot
They play every week and they’re all terrible.
Genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if he loses his next 4/5, gets sacked and Ole comes back until the end of the season.
I don’t want him out, but he’ll probably just get sacked anyway.

The amount of times Dalot get the ball and he's one on one and nothing comes of it. Now, defences may set up allowing the one v one because it's Dalot but at least if there was a threat there some space may open up elsewhere.
I know Garnacho is only young but he isn't improving either. If there was £60m on offer I'd be considering it.
We didn't play like there were any improvements at all today
Best thing that can happen is that Amorim rebuilds a team in his image from the championship next season. Get off his back. Particularly the media frenzy and wan1krs like Stone. If this all carries on, you will end up in championship. There are decent fans on here that can see this. There are idiots on here that think sacking the manager will resolve the problems. It's the latter that will turn you into a joke club. Give Amorim at least 2 years.
It's like you're seeing this for the first time?
Ole, Rangnick, Ten Hag, now Amorim. It's happened under every one of the past 3/4 managers. This squad is infested with players who are quite happy to not give a sheite about the club or the manager and give up. Then the new players come in and get sucked in to the same vibe.
This lot would ruin any manager.

It’s never been this bad though. Even under Jose and Ole (and Ten Hag before the 7-0) we looked at least semi capable. Now I expect to lose every game. The odds on Liverpool scoring 3+ against us are under evens with the bookies. Them to score 4 is quite tempting at 3.66. Might chuck $500 on and then go to Tokyo for the weekend on the winnings to drink the pain away
Massive transfer window coming up for Utd and Amorim.
Just left the game. I don’t think he will last the season.
The changes he is trying to implement are too radical and the squad doesn’t match the profile. Also the players are just really poor due to years and years of poor recruitment and squad planning.
We’ve had some poor seasons in recent years, but this has the feel of a real proper disaster brewing.
