You racist w/nker.

You were racially abusive but you don't sound like a racist. This is why people should ease off Terry IF he gets found out, sorry guilty. Things get said in the heat of the moment.

Was the black guy offended by what you said to him?

Tbh I don't think saying that is as bad as implying something wrong with your race.

Call someone an Aussi, a Frenchie, a Brit, a black, a white - it's all the same meaning to me. Plus they're true statements. As a Pakistani, I honestly don't mind people calling me a P@ki in a light-hearted manner. But calling someone a 'stupid P@ki' would suggest that there's something wrong with being one. I know I've kinda contradicted myself here but hopefully you know what I mean. It's common for a Pakistani to call a fellow one a P@ki, from personal experience just like you'd call someone a Scot

It's not like you called him a nagger or a m0nkey

Forgive me if this doesn't make sense. Cba to read over what I've written but if anything's unclear I can come up with what I meant

I was so offended by his views and the pure hatred in which he expressed them, that I took him back to his hotel, explained to him why, and referred him to another real estate company.

This bit baffles me, it's not as though you would be guilty of anything other than taking money from a racist and in the process, ridding the uk of him.

Unless you have experienced racism, you cannot understand it or worse - apprehend others for it.

It is the most overused term these days.

"Racist" has become the new "G.ay" whereby it is used so much it actually negates and ridicules the seriousness of racism and homophobia itself

You're not a racist. You're just a racist.

True, but the process would have involved driving him around in my car for a minimum of 2 maximum of 3 days o be social and friendly to the guy. I could have pretended to agree with his views to keep him onside but I was never going to do that, its not in my personality to pretend to be something I am not.

Heck, at school to decide teams for playground football we would sometimes go with 'whites v minorities'

Nobody that I know of felt insulted in the slightest. If anything, it was just a humorous way to decide!

That’s a remarkably honest post!

I think it is an interesting issue… and I know it is controversial but I think it is actually a little bit over played by the media. Is racist abuse any worse than other abuse?

With the example you gave on the football pitch you called him a “black c—t”.

The second word is the offensive one – the first one is just descriptive.

Had you said “ginger c—t” or “bald c—t” would that have been less bad if the person responsible was ginger or bald? Surely it’s the same thing? Yet the campaign is let’s kick racism out of football…

The QPR Chelsea match there is a big furore over the comments allegedly made by Terry – yet when Chelsea players went to get the ball from the fans there was swearing and offensive gesticulations a plenty on show. These are accepted though… had the fans made racist comments though it would have been front page news!

Why is racism given such a high priority and ranked higher than other forms of abuse?

I think the issue is clouded further because of the acceptance of certain terms within ethnic communities. I have heard black players call team mates a number of terms which a white person would not be able to use. So is it the word itself which is offensive? Apparently not.

Nah but seriously.

If they guy hates dark skinned people so much, why not just move to an all white area?

I, personally, don't understand people like that. Idiot.

I am probably wrong but I feel using the words like monkey, n-gger, w-g.........etc etc, all those obviously horrible racial derogatory terms are a much more real sign of racism.

Ron
It was a racist comment but IMO that doesn't make him a racist.
That's the way I see it anyhoo

What bothers me most about the guy you describe in your first story, is not so much that he is a racist, but that people like that assume that you (or I) would be happy to sit there and listen to that bile. It like he's implying you would be in total agreement with his views. It takes a lot to offend me, but that sort of thing gets me every time.
