You, and your superior neighbours.
They will do their normal stuff, and wait for the moment you slip. In a neck and neck, my money is on your lot to do an Arsenal.
The rest is for 3rd and below IMHO.
Ermm, Arsenal weren't invited. Now shhh, the big boys are talking
City could easily lose momentum during there tough fixture list coming up
Just saying a 5 point lead with 26 games left is hardly game set and match.
short memories people
far too early to say
I wouldnt rule out Chelsea, and maybe Liverpool with no European distraction.
Just look how quickly Arsenal clawed themsleves back.
Added to which the team top at Christmas rarely wins the league.
I firmly believe that Wigan will win the EPL this season
If Arsenal never had such a shizzy start they would be pushing Man Cuty all the way!
Arsene Weger is bulding a team for next year just you wait!
Man City though keep your eye on the old wiley dog that is Alex Feguson!
Give it 4 games, if City get 8 or more points over the next 4 games then we will be massive favourites bearing in mind we will have all the top teams to play at home in the 2nd half of the season.
At thhis moment in time only City look convincing, United are scrapping results, Chelsea look poor, Liverpool arent consistent, Spurs are a top 4 side but not near the title, Arsenal are beating sides they should beat and gaining confidence but still think they lack the class all over the field to compete for the title, basically only RVP and Vermaelen would get in City's side and even then it would not be a guaranteed spot
Liverpool will have a cup distraction though, Tottenham don't have a distraction. Europa League and FA Cup will be played by the squad/youngsters so it leaves our best team for the Premiership and the cup games will keep the squad players fit for if they're needed in the Premiership.
I posted to another girl on another website who supports Man U that the title race would be between us and Utd. I think it could still be on. City needed a 41st minute penalty to break the deadlock yesterday and that's not good in my book.
For once I agree with Siempe and with Wipers, far too early to be judging. The time to judge is 5 points clear with 2 games to play and even then I woulod still worry.
Siempre optimistic.
There are currently 7 teams fighting for the top 5, and all in fairly good form. Sufficient of them aren't going to collapse in order to allow the Poool etc to surge.
The worry for those lagging is that those games will be "zero sum" for each pair of opponents. In which case it will be about those teams that do not beat the so-called lesser teams.
<Citeh> are sweeping those teams aside.
Man Utd will just do a Man Utd, however well they actually play.
"Man Utd will just do a Man Utd, however well they actually play"
lets hope so
United were pants this time last season and won the league by nine points which is a big margin.

We had a penalty for hand ball from a shot them could have gone in if his hand wasnt in the way. No disrespect to Newcastle but City did easilly enough to win that match, the only chance of an upset was if Newcastle put away there few chances on goal, but by that logic if City put away all their chances on goal it would have been a rout but football doesnt work like that
"lets hope so"
Not really hope, just a statement of fact.
For me, tis all about whether <Citeh> keep their trajectory or not.
I expect Man Utd to be top 2 come April.
Whether someone is in front, or by how much, remains to be seen.
no doubt city are playing well but its far to early yet to start righting anybody off.
One thing I would say is that by Christmas I hope united will have closed the gap by at least a couple of points, even though were not playing well were winning & keeping clean sheets!
by the way City were top last Christmas.
Dawn, stick to ironing love. It was ony our second penalty of the season. 9 of the 11 who started were on international during this week and we were up against the best defence in the league.
oldnewtonheath :
Man Utd were top last Christmas. And with 2 games in hand.
if you look at all City's fixtures so far you would have put them down for a win in every one but Old Trafford.
Yes they have been impressive but far far too early to count chickens.
Uniteds results have been good and most seasons would be enough to be top.
They dont have Tevez nad they are still kicking aces!
Could Man U have coped aswell without Tevez?
Top four will be Manchester and North London, sort it out amongst yourselves lads.
Well City have Aguero, Balotelli and Dzeko so I'm sure any team with them strikers could cope without Tevez.

Seriously, who is left in the title race?
