Did Mabbs and Perryman both wear 6 ?????
Perryman was a banned word on the old 606 ...never did find out why
I dont think anybody will object to Hodds getting the No.10 shirt
Im lost I dont get this game either that or Im the only one that does
Ginola was 14???
---------------------------------------
Really?! But he had such hairy legs!!
I KNOW THAT!
But he deserved number 11.. or have I read this thread incorrectly
I think I have
snot a game ....It's a journey though the magical wonderland that is Spurs .......................RRP didn't buy a ticket and a couple of the others have already had about 14 strong lagers
Squid,
Can you clear up whether we are meant to be reinventing squad numbers where necessary, such as the Daviiiiiid situation?
Yes Squid, I need clarity on the subject!
Because I believe that Anthony Gardner deserved the number 4
Ralph as always it's an excuse for a laugh but I picked up on Pardew talking about what the No.9 meant to the fans and I wondered which numbers immediately conjured up a particular Spurs player an wondered if we could sort of get a team together ....
Perhaps I'm crazier than I thought I was
Can I put forward Waddle for No.9?
Ralph , Wadds was a great player but a garbage singer , does he spring to mind above some great Center Forwards like Chiv or the G-men ????
What number was Jimmy Greaves? I think he definitely should be there.

And I quote:
"This is not about picking our best ever X1 but a team of players that are/should be associated with a particular Number"
Not saying he was the best, just volunteered my input as he was a leg-end for me growing up, and synonymous with that shirt number
Good shout about Greaves but as was mentioned Gazza also wore 8
I'd also have Roberts at 4 if I can?
I'd take Greaves over Gazza anyday.
Ralph ....Wadds was superb , I'll always remember a home match against Southampton and was absolutely gutted when they sold him to France I was just asking if Wadds would be synonymous with the No.9 ??????
Well as it seems to be me, you & the I'd say yes
