Do you remember Bobby Smith, or is that just a bit before your time?
Just a bit before my time
But
The G-men . Jennings , Mullery , Knowles , Jones . England and a good few others as well
Also saw Best , Law and Charlton play in the same United side
Cheers guys .....Really enjoyed this thread
I think you should put cliff jones in.
How about Villa for number 5, im basing that solely on the 81 final and that goal.

oh and jealous of whom you have seen play.
I'll make it worse for you....I was behind the goal that Ricky scored in and I was in Wembers when Gazza scored against Arsenal in 91
bobby smith - remember some idiot calling him a cart horse in a european game . bobby scores a goal, then walks up to the player in question ; whl goes quiet trying to hear what was said.. What did he say, only Bobby knows. But we all noted that that this player avoided Bobby for the rest of the game
I was at Wembley when we won the league cup in 99, when Nielsen scored the goal of the season, well maybe not, but it felt that way when it went in.
My friend lived in the next street from Bobby , he was often in the bookies and my mate would often tell me how awful it was to see such a legend in such ill health and how bad his mobility problems were
31 ....Is there any better feeling than to be there when that silver pot is raised to the sky ...I smile just thinking about it
The problems with growing up eh....
And too true Squid. I'm pleased to say that I have seen us win a cup at the old Wembley, surging forward to actually be able to see where the lifting of the cup because our seats were too high to see without moving forward. The noise a half filled stadium can make.
How about Chris Hughton for the number 2?
Mate you'll never conbvince me that any No 2 is better than Joe Kinnear .....but I'm biased
we need more people to argue the points.
What do you have in mind though for 3,5 and 11.
5.....Mike England
