With KEIOC involved i doubt the club would under current owner(s) would want tp peruse it
Another reason to hope we are shut of these present owners then very soon then.
With KEIOC involved.......
It would be typical of the small minded attitude of the club to allow previous differences to stop them having any involvement in the Football Quarter, thus spurning a chance for desperately needed income.
More fool them.
Concerned - agree 100%.
If the club do not wish to persue the Football Quarter then they need to come clen about their future plans and strategies for reaching those future plans - and by that I don't mean Elstone posting a blog once a month saying our aim is to outperform other clubs in the transfer market.
dixie,
the Football Quarter will go ahead regardless of the club`s involvement.
Do you think Lfc`s board will miss the opportunity?
To be fair the owners are searching 24/7 for new "investment" and have been for 2, 3 or 12 years depending on which Kenwright statement can be believed if any.
It leaves them very little time to do anything else.
Oh and let's not forget that Bill is working "round the clock" on bringing in new additions.
My predictions for January;
- Moyes will say January is not the ideal time to be buying players
- The Liverpool Echo will report on 1 Feb that Everton tried very hard to get their targets but just missed out and they will return in the summer to strengthen.
CE, it is a very good idea.
But you're jigging against the wind if you think the board will support an idea put forward by the collective horsemen of the apocalypse
dixie,
Same as it ever was.
The surprising thing for me, people with obvious education falling for the same spiel time after time.
Programmed to "i support the Blues no matter what i am told"
Sad thing, the blind loyalty is harming rather than helping the club.
Laz,
Sadly, they will allow their personal grievances to cloud their judgement, and not support it.
Just finished reading the prospectus for the Football Quarter.
KEIOC should be congratulated by one and all for such a professional presentation, and for the vision to bring regeneration and jobs to an area where it is much needed.
Well done to KEIOC and indeed the SOS.
I have to say the prospectus looks fantastic and I think it would be a great addition to the city and provide many more jobs and investment in to the area. Well done to KEIOC and SOS for managing to raise the necessary funds to provide these fantastic stadiums for both clubs... can't wait to apply for my new seat in the new stadium.

Was that an official Club statement?
Unfortunately not.

Just like DK the figures are based on assumptions. The small minded attitude would just mirror that shown by KEIOC
As Mr Simon informed us.
"Still crazy,after all these years"
Cue piano solo.
They had high hopes for the Metro Quarter when it opened half empty. It is hardly full occupancy at the moment and only those who are absolutely loaded, like Footballers and Wags who can afford to shop there. i remain to be convinced that this Initiative can attract and maintain Investment, Support, enthusiasm without separatism, extortionate Rentals, and apathy amongst those that it intends to attract. Until then i shall withhold my counsel.
Two choices....
We may be fooked if we do.
We will definitely 100% be fooked if we dont
Can anyone be certain that we won't be looked if the FQ goes ahead?
If we keep losing money at circa £5million per year?
A chance needs to be taken on a business plan.
ANY business plan is better than no business plan.
KEIOC have given them an option to raise funds,we await the clubs business plan.
Can KEIOC be sure the figures quoted can be hit?
I have no idea.
Why dont you ask them directly,i believe contact details are on their website.
Suggest you direct your questions to Colin Fitzpatrick.
He seems to have his finger on the pulse.
Very ameniable chap,he will enter into debate with you regardless of your viewpoint.
Anyways off out now to have a look at the 40 plus acre site on offer to the FQ.
Enjoy your day
I would be concerned he would use other clubs as an example. Remember examples of failures were not allowed in discussions around takeovers when KEIOC were involved
