After that miss, they can keep Defoe

Monkey,

Chicken in peace .

I do not wish to start up the same cat & mouse we had last week. I will agree to disagree on that other stuff.

On the Defoe comment, whilst i feel he could have "lunged" himself a tad earlier to reach that ball, i thought his goal was a great finish & thats what i like about him. He completely gambled on Savic mis-timing his header, took the slightest of touchest to take Hart out of the equation, and then that finish was easily missed from that angle.

He & Bale will have sleepness nights over that missed chance, i'm sure.

How was your weekend?

What did you make of the results?

red_man23,

Morning fella.

Had a good weekend thanks.

Re: football, the weekend started off good, with Chelsea drawing at Norwich (with respect to Norwich, thats 2pts dropped). Then with Liverpool losing (no offence, but obviously that was good for bragging reasons & what not), then the game yesterday - well, where do i start? After coming back to 2-2 i really think they were there for the taking & losing to a penalty (although it was a stonewaller) is always harsh, but in the 94th minute just after "that chance" made it even more difficult to swallow.

I think we (Spurs) just have to keep our confidence up, because with Arsenal losing too, we still have a decent lead that is ours to lose.

I only saw the first 20 minutes of your game, and then the highlights on MotD, but i gather it wasn't a brilliant performance by your lot & the result was a fair one.

What's your thoughts on that & the other games?

Chicken

Yeah my weekend went well. We got a new cat on Friday

I was gutted that after Chelsea drawing, Newcastle losing and Arsenal's result against United being fairly predictable that we didn't capitalise. But ho hum what can you do?

Kenny's come out and laid it on the line publicly. They either get their act together or move on.

Yours was a good match to watch, obviously not for you. But from a neutral's perspective the second half was cracking .

red_man23,

On KD's comments. I have said all along, as well as to a good friend of mine (a Liverpool fan) that (with respect) i think some of your more recent signings are punching above their weight in a Liverpool shirt. The problem is, KD is the one who signed them so whilst he looks to get ruthless (& he might need to), he will have to shoulder some of the blame himself.

Five teams out of the top 8 lost at the weekend, with 1 drawing - i wonder when the last time that happened?! Very strange weekend in football.

"Its a funny ole game".

Is this public execution of Chicken, and turning him into a laughing stock, still going on? He's a persistent little guy isn't he?

No bite from me.

red_man23, we'll continue our debate when you're good & ready.

Morning Chicken

I take it your currently typing your article on the Arsenal board saying they're out of the running for top 4?

red_man23,

..I love it. When Liverpool dropped further behind last week, not a dickie bird. Liverpool gain a point on the 4th placed team & you're all over this article again.

Priceless.

Here Chicken, Chicken Chicken.

Ah there you are, how are you?

I know we dropped a further.............1 point behind .

But anyway, Arsenal are now a massive 5 points, and 3 places, behind Chelsea in 4th. According to your strict criteria this is classed as 'out of the running'.

I want to see a scientific poll, asking Liverpool and Arsenal fans, and maybe the odd Blackburn fan. Oh and an article on their board saying Arsenal are out of the running.

red_man23,

I want to see a scientific poll, asking Liverpool and Arsenal fans

====================

Why do you want that poll?

Their fans werent persistent that all non-fans of their clubs, thought they were known as genuine contenders. I said that 99% of non-Liverpool fans didnt think you were - you asked me to prove it - so i did. Cant say fairer than that.

So even with Newcastle knocking you back into 6th, you still think you're in the driving seat?

10 out of 10 for cockiness.

To prove a point. Oh that should have read Liverpool and Chelsea fans in the poll. Not Arsenal fans .

"So even with Newcastle knocking you back into 6th, you still think you're in the driving seat"?

Where have I said that? We're 2 points, and 2 places, off 4th. We must now be 'in the running' for 4th place? Agree or disagree?

Any sign of that article yet?

===============

If any Arsenal fans challenge me to prove something that i believe in, then i'll happily do it to prove it, like i did the Liverpool poll.

I said 99%. The outcome was 98.5 (rounded up to 99) %.

Simples.
