Tusc

If you must know I'm not one that shouts BatesOut but don't agree or disagree with the people that do,

Its frustrating to see him spending 2 wages on 2 crap players when he could spend it on 1 decent player but hes too stubborn.

You side step things you dont want to answer tuscany

Hes not looking at things in a different light. Ive no problem with him saying he think bates is good, I have though got a problem with someone saying it but getting the facts totally wrong. Seriously it must be wind up.

agreed YNKB... where on this thread does it say Spookio agreed with that though.... his thread says it's better to keep a football club in the black... which now he's stupid for saying it??

posted on 13/2/12

he's thinking in terms of business LIW.... keeping finances in the black, a few facts he got wrong doesn't make the principle any different does it..

which questions have I missedm list them, I'm siorry if I've not answered any

also, you seem to be avoiding mine too,.... if Ridsdale was a bit more about 'keeping the business in the black' then we wouldn't be in half the stuck we got in would we?

Pags no i wasnt i was taking to LIW and YNBK. (emphasis on LIW)

i would never speak to you like that

I keep hearing about keeping in the black balls, and am really surpised at you on it.

Debt seems to be a dirty word these day, most companies are built on it. Been debt free doesnt get you points and that is what the club is based on points.

And before anyone says I dont want us to go into debt but.

Being £25m in debt and owning ER and TA, would put us in a better financial position than we are currently in.

Debt doesnt always have to be a bad thing

I can't see how you can call it good business sense, calling your customers Morons, Dissidents, and rapidly losing fans, 4k average loss in one season is not a good businessman!

Can tell your not a businessman.

LIW agreed, and actually, a loan of 20 million could see us very right if it was used well.... but it has to be used well... (it would have to be used very well for me to agree to it though) - I mean long term contracts for quality players....

LIW.. also agreed, debt isn't always bad... though I'm old fashioned that way - I like to see things operating in the black, its the old porsche 911 for cash or finance isn't it...

so we are agreed on that....

now, which questions have I missed? - also, is it 'stupid' to suggest a company runs in the black... all mine do mate, as does Spooks

Spookio

Whats better having 0 money in the bank but owning £10million pounds worth of buildings or having £10 million pound in the bank n 0 buildings?

posted on 13/2/12

YNBK.... yes thats true, but if a group of fans were saying things like 'Bates die' after you've made LUFC a company to be run in the black, rather than a huge red, you'd be pretty miffed, I couldn't even imagine if it was LIW, and what he would call fans if the abuse was directed at him

Also, he'll sell the business when in the prem, and sell it for much more than he bought it for.... thats good business, the fan base, his future customers aren't at all are they? - when he sells we are somebody elses customers....

Same here mate, cash or you dont buy it in my eyes.

But companies wouldnt grow without debt

posted on 13/2/12

what we all forgetting is there is manageble debt, and spral debt... LUFC at the point we finished 5th in the prem, it was spiral debt....

20 million investment now, is manageable debt.....

-------------------------------------

im not going to deny that, but when compaines do go in debt its not debt that totally ruins the business and if it is debt, it is easily payable and thoroughly thought through, i NEVER make a business descision without consulting others and making sure im not taking a massive risk....

the way i run is, make profit slowly, but safely, not fastly but dangerously..

Any debt is bad in my opinion. Now credit that can be maintained is a different matter altogether.

Completely agree.

Never understood why the purchase of TA and ER havent been financed.

Cuts the rent costs and seriously strenghtens the balance sheet

I would be miffed if I'd saved a club and got it in the black, but to be honest I wouldn't trip myself up the amount of times he does, I know he enjoys the confrontation and always has all his life he loves the attention I really don't think it would be as bad as it is if hed have just told the truth rather than churning out rubbish after rubbish.

posted on 13/2/12

How much are they both worth in real terms to the club. And how much rent is paid for both? Times that by the tenancy agreement so far, and future rent payments, which gives the best return for the owners?

YNBK Agreed mate, rather tahn saying there's money in the pot for Simon' and then not spending, and sacking him..

he should just say you've been in L1 for 3 years, it isn't the end of the world you stay in the ccc for 3 years, while I finish my hotels, and sell the club... be patient Leeds fans

I'd take that on the chin to be honest
