Not saying I want club to be in debt, but I don't feel we're striking the right balance of ambition and finances, and for such an astute businessman he sure seems to have a lack of grip on the business if our wage bill is 35% higher than budgeted part way through a season.

Nope, went direct from Vancouver to San Francisco, was all a bit too quick to organise anything.

LS you must appreciate that Mr Bates has maded himself a millionaire, which is lots more than most people on this planet earth... a man with such a skill however he reaches said goal, should be appreciated... we just don't like him because he's in charge of LUFC..
Jonty agreed though, some ambition shown now regarding any investment in the team would be needed to gain promotion, but as you've said Bates will not sell the club until the Hotels and what ever other investments are sorted,wether we are premiership or not.... imo we'll be worth more in the PL, therefore he'll be able to sell for more.
Spookio is a young business amn, and he does right to operate his business in the black, he is comparing it to his thoughts as do we all... so please do not ridicule him because his apinions differ to yours

I've stated I don't like Bates on here many times.... but you have to try and look at both sides of the coin.... can we be thnkful at least that we don't have a huge debt? and when the next chairman comes in, he'll be able to invest without any debt clearing worrys.... this will happen when Bates makes his hotel money...
