Old guard more likely to get 3points and keep AVB safe for now.

At what stage do the players take out the ear plugs. In the tunnel or the pitch ?

They got big egos but dont think they're that spiteful.

Have you not seen Drogba "play" lately?

what you mean? my criticism is for both avb and players and its justified. why do you think avb should get off scot free for this season? yeh the players arent doing their job but avb's made plenty of cockups so far which everyone seems to brush under the carpet and blame it on this "broken squad"

While some team selection issues and substitutions have been questionable and tactics off most players and managers have a grace period of a season. People like you don't have the decency to give him even that and are acting as if we're fighting for relegation. Most of the serious cockups have come from players individual performances. It's the media and fake posters like mr Cappello that are getting to you

Gullit

I wouldn't expect him to be yet at half their age

That ships sailed though so I don't see what that has to do with anything. We aren't getting either of them back nor are any managers of that quality available to us.

Why do you think AVB is right for Chelsea? Does he have experience of managing players? Has he got experience of the premier league? Has he tactically impressed you this season? Has he tightened up our defence which has been a problem for months now? Has he put What about his media skills? Are they any good? How about his managing of our older players? Has he handled them properly? What do you think of his ridiculous quotes coming out of from him recently labelling Torres the same as Shevchenko and "Lampard and me dont have to talk, we're not married" Improving squad harmony there isnt he? Why did he think the highline was gna work with players like Terry, Lampard and Drogba? Why does he constantly play Bosingwa/Meireles/Malouda? Who's to blame for that shambles of a match against Napoli? He's got the worst win percentage of any Chelsea manager for the last 15 years or something. 3 league wins in 11 matches tells its own story doesnt it?

I dont get manipulated by the media. I dont get influenced by Capello's articles either. I say what I see on most things Chelsea. If people like you dont like to hear criticism then thats your problem not mine. My own personal view on this whole mess is give him another season. Might aswell now. Too late to sack him. Paid 13m for him but I honestly dont think he'l get us the league title. He'l get us top 4 for a few years but that'l be only due to the vast amount of money that Roman will give him in the summer but both he and the players are to blame for this seasons farcical performances.

So our manager should start off perfect and end up crap like Carlo and Jose as opposed to start off rough and improve.

Well your above comment makes my reply relevant. <Ok>

We are two thirds into the season and AVB is showing no signs of improving Chelsea's season.

Mr C

Which of our past managers would do any better with this squad and without Romans money? It's ludicrous to suggest that others can do it without it. Of course money is necessary to challenge for top spot.

As for his handling of the players, when they show such pathetic, and it has been pathetic, attitudes they should be treated as such. Why should they be pampered and adored when they can't perform nor act as a professional? The Lampard/married comment was made jokingly as I understand it.

AVB was brought in to play attacking football which he came good on earlier. The problem is we don't have the players good enough to get back on defense after we break down the field so we have gone back to boring defensive/slow football. He was always going to get to make the team he wanted. I don't suppose he would've come otherwise. When that happens I'm sure plenty of people will be slapping their foreheads for wanting him out.

Players need to leave. Not AVB. Your opinions are fine. I just think they're a little short sighted.

Gullits

You addressed the names and not the reason. They both started fantastically and ended horribly. Even Jose. Carlo had us playing horrifically. Never changed tactics or players. I didn't think he should've been cut loose but it's happened and now were in another situation where I don't believe a manager should be let go.

United had a slow start in the league, including a nine-match winless run incorporating eight draws and a defeat, from September to November, followed by a mid-season run of strong form which lifted them from mid table to the top three, before a run of disappointing results to the season dragged them down to 11th place in the final table. They suffered an early exit from the League Cup and lost their final chance of silverware in March when they were beaten by Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford in the FA Cup quarter final.
