By definition you need to be charged with a crime to be a criminal. Yeah that's what I took from your post because to me anger seems like a reasonable reaction to a unarmed 17 year old being shot and killed given the circumstances in America which allows for this type of thing to happen on a regular basis.

Personally I think Kendrick's new album is overrated like everything else he's released but considering the reviews this and GKMC have got surely I've gotta be missing something.

With regards to Kendricks new album, it is pretty good (I prefer it to GKMC) but I don't 'get' the hype surrounding him.
This album has recorded the highest ever metacritic score for a rap album (Stankonia 2nd, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy 3rd). Yet I wouldn't say it is THAT good, I don't even think it is the best rap album released this year.

I really like the second half of the album after the For Sale interlude, with the exception of Hood Politics and that really annoying 'BOOBOO'.

He seems to care too much about sending out a message, than actually making good music. And that track where he makes his voice go all squeaky is really annoying.

Certainly not as good as B4.da.$$ which I don't think is getting the recognition it deserves, though haven't read what reviews it's got

TPAB got a 95/100 score.

Whereas B4.DA.$$ got 75/100. With the Guardian giving the outrageously harsh (and inaccurate) review of 40/100 saying 'Once the novelty wears off, though, you’re left with an album that is too often set at the middling pace of a Fugees B-side, and a rapper whose technical abilities are nowhere close to those old timers he seeks to emulate.'


Joeys album is 9/10 for me, would probably give Kendricks 7.5.

KRIT was pretty good on 1 train if I remember correctly. That someday track is pretty good, but it just makes me remember how good the original is.
