So we all believe Kendrick really saw God outside of his van?

I have nothing against any of the beats on TBAP. They're the main selling point of the album for me.

In the purpose of the metaphor he certainly did. I don't think it has to be taken literally, just him ensuing that he realised he has been cold and callous in his fame/old age and that his selfishness clouded his judgement. Who he used to be would have spared some compassion for the person, and god reminded him of that.

I get all that, the message throughout the album is him dealing with his new found fame....it just made it corny for me.

I dont mind God references...i still listen to Faith, Kush & Corinthians and His Pain all by the same artist...this one just didnt sit with me

Interesting, I guess it depends how you want to take it.

When I first listened to TPAB a lot didn't sit well with me but HMADC stuck out instantly. The rest of the album has grown on me more. I just thank god we have him producing records as opposed to the likes of Yelawolf, Drake, Lil Wayne etc polluting the airwaves.

Modern artists I really like from America:

Lupe, Badass, Kendrick, Logic.

Yelawolf used to be good. Trunk Muzik was a good mixtape. He's gone too mainstream and poppy now though

He sounds like he has a permanent throat infection

That old school disco funk & free jazz elements immediately sold it for me.

As soon as that Wesley's Theory beat dropped, i knew...album is gonna be epic.

I don't judge people's taste in music but someone above said kanyes best 5 albums and college dropout and graduation weren't in them. Just madness.

How people can't like radioactive is bizarre. Some great tracks on there.

I like all of Kanyes albums, but Graduation is weaker to me as it has a very Poppy finish to the production, even though it is the perfect Pop Rap album, it is not to my taste as his others.

The College Dropout is a classic, no doubt. The chipmunk soul sampling sound has JUST started to sound outdated on my latest listen, and there are some weak tracks like "Breathe In, Breathe Out" and "School Spirit", in my opinion.

Thoughts on this new Kanye leak? https://clyp.it/l3d2f25a

no-one talks about Kanyes beats on Gravs Down to Earth cd, youngin's LOL.

Late registration is probably my favourite Kanye album, basically college dropout on steroids

posted on 23/2/16

Interesting analogy.

What has steroids got to do with an album? If anything it made Dre worse.

Not sure if you're being serious

But I just felt Late registration was a bulkier more fulfilling album than college dropout. With supreme quality.

Heard em say was ok, touch the Sky ok, all bit poppy tbh. Gold digger most annoying song of the 00s. One of nas' worst features. His verse on bring me down is fire.and the end of the album is strong. Hey mama celebration and we can make it better( best track and not even his verse) but the standout of the whole album is jay zs verse on diamonds remix lol.

College dropout every track bar 1 or 2 is a piece of art. Even the skits. 21 tracks if I remember of quality

posted on 23/2/16

I just think for me late registration had more songs I wanted to listen to again, songs like breathe in breathe out, school spirit, get em high, last call didn't really have any lasting appeal to me.

you probably picked up my four least favourite songs on the album benny

But we dont care, all falls down, spaceship, jesus walks, never let me down(best kanye song ever made), workout plan(last couple minutes are crazy) through the wire, 2 words, family business...man, not listened to many more albums then that one in my life tbh.

Kanye changed who he was about 5 or 6 years back..

He used to be cool and inspiring, but now I actually think he needs to be sectioned tbf..

Still a very good producer, but also a very good weirdo

He pretty much made them together I think .

Graduation though I still really love, as a body of work its not his top 3 but its still one of my favourites.

Kanye announced a new album is dropping this summer. BTW anyone been following Chip and Yungen disses? Quite funny calling Tinie's mum
