He has consistently rapped about the same subjects aswell. I don't mind putting him on the odd occasion but not one of my go to's.
Don't really like any new artists bar j.cole and kendrick. and don't like j.coles last two albums so don't have much choice.
joey badass is good, logic is okay, but start running out of people after that.
I think I'm truly hooked on the New York underground scene atm. Griselda signing to Shady is just the start.
There's rumours of Hus Kingpin and his Winners entourage signing to Roc Nation as well.
Can't wait for all these rappers to hit the mainstream.
Joey has disappointed a bit since the B.AD.A$$ or however it is spelt album
B4.DA.$$
Amazing wordplay for that album title tbh.
Probably the best thing about that album
I'm sure Genius lyrics has a whole dissertation based on the juxtaposition of the symbolic influences in that title.
I really liked Amerikkkan bada$$ actually.
I like the whole album, Christ Conscious, Paper Trails and No. 99 are quality tunes

yeah good album.
Joey's rap career is like what the media in England do to young players that make the breakthrough in the PL and then go out of form for a bit.

Is it? Can't say I agree.
He was built to be like some sort of messiah when he broke through at 17/18. Hasn't exactly hit those heights though.
Not sure I can think of a song I didn’t like of it
Considering he’s still only 23 he’s accomplished a lot more than most rappers.

His issue was he that he came out with a distinct rap style with some beats that are reminiscent of music from the 90s.
Then he started trying a bit more mainstream and even staccato rap which is a waste.
It was just boom bap beats in all honesty.
I actually don't mind Joey at all. He's better than most of the new school.
Dunno if he has a style you guys would like but I’ve just discovered Amine, really like his stuff. Reminds me a bit of Chance the Rapper’s Acid Rap days.

Boom bap beats being one of the most dominant East Coast beats back in the 90s right?
I can't work out if your comment was in agreement or?

Also does anyone here like ASAP? He’s a cool guy, nice fits, popular but not one even decent project.
