You see the good thing about that album is the first song is Buckingham Palace with a beat that instantly sets a good mood and it continues for some time. We lose our way somewhat, around Constant Struggle & Done It Again but it pick ups immediately with the Rae song.

I'm guessing you don't like it?

Saying that it feels like an album with Ghostface trying to shed light on some underground rappers more than it being a Ghostface album.

Yeah but before that he had a couple good tracks come out, then obviously slaughterhouse then nothing.
I know joe budden is doing his radio/podcast, royce has been dropping stuff, crooked I and ortiz disappeared from my radar

Ortiz signed to Interscope I think and then disappeared. I remember he released a freestyle when Kendrick dropped his Control verse. His freestyle was nice too.

Crooked I disappeared though. I even forgot about him completely lol

Watch 'em Holla was the standout track for me.

I listen to that Crooked I freestyle still every now and then, but to be honest everything sounds good on the Grindin' beat

Listen to Edan, his album Beauty and the Beat is excellent; even has a Percee P feature Lyrically I think he's better than everyone you listed.

Would also add Cage, I quite like his dark stuff.

Edan also does a lot of production (fairly sure he produced all of Beauty and the Beat) and is making a comeback. He recently did a track called "Grim Seasons" with Homeboy Sandman, it's worth a listen

I'm not gonna lie...I'm not the biggest Mac fan. I actually blame him for the poor form of Ab-Soul since Control System.

The one thing you can't deny though is that sonically the dude was really coming of age. Genuine growth in his music and that desk music concert thingy was class.

Yeah he had undeniable growth as an artist

How's he to blame for Ab Soul falling off tho lol? They hung out and worked together a bit, that's it, it's nobody but Ab soul's fault
