Jay Elec dropped his album.
Get the fook outta here!!? He done what now?
20 years in the making, I bet it is shiiit
He tweeted about dropping a few weeks back...so I doubt there's more than a few months effort put into it lol
Maybe Detox will get released now.
We got Compton from Dre...which was a lot better than I expected.

damn, forgot about that, hardly any replay value for me.
There's a few tracks I like and still listen too. Tracks 2 to 6 is cool and then Jon Connor's verse on For The Love of Money steals the show.
Ok, going in blind and just gonna straight up buy it. Although Electronica owes me for playing Road to Perdition on loop for the last 10 years!
Can’t believe he finally dropped it. Come on, let’s do this!
Anyone heard Royces album?
It's sounds like he actually held off rapping on the album on purpose lol
R.A. the Rugged Man - All My Heroes Are Dead
9/10
Great album that even has time to bring back Ice T, Kool G Rap, Jazzy Jeff and Fack You singer Eamon.
The Chronic is on Spotify
DJ have you heard j hus’ album Big Conspiracy?
Did anyone catch Preemo vs RZA?

I watched that. Only one of the series I have seen. Liked the stories, tbh I would have preferred them to converse more than play the music.

No, can't say I have ever listened to J Hus.
Yeah there was some real knowledge being dropped between songs. Some of these podcast should actually check if they can get real pioneers of the culture to drop backstories. I'd actually listen to that.
Like I remember the one time Q-Tip just casually stating that Pharrel was part of the Midnight Marauder sessions before it dropped. That would've placed him like what 16/17 years old? That's incredible if you ask me. He often gets overlooked when people talk about producers that contributed to hip hop.
I was a bit disappointed in Preem's selection because RZA came with all our favs and actual bangers meanwhile Preemo...I dont know what route he took. He had RZA in the middle segment from about Gang Starr through to Nas NY State of Mind but then he just lost it afterwards lol
Think Premier was trying to show his wide ranging catelogue, whereas RZA was largely restricted to Clan material.
Just seen that Brixton rapper Ty died yesterday. Had an album of his back in the day when you used to actually go out and buy things.

Probs top 5 rap songz
I listen to The Pharcyde a fair bit, but thinking about it it is restricted to a handful of tracks:
Oh Shiiit
Soul Flower
Ya Mama
Passin Me By
Return of the B-Boy
Runnin
She Said
Somethin' That Means Somethin'
Drop
Moment In Time
Emerald Butterfly
Trust
Whats Up Fatlip
All I Want For Christmas
Illusions.
Could never get into Slimkid Tre's solo stuff, nor most of Fatlips. A lot of tracks from the classic 2 group albums have just faded away for me.

Old rap is very tinny and monotonous imo. Find it hard to listen to a lot of old school stuff despite numerous attempts

Pack the pipe has to be in there
Also 4 better or 4 worse is also great
I do accept that they aren’t the greatest rappers and probably only have two good albums, however Bizarre Ride 2 is probably the easiest album to listen to of all time for me.
However I think two great albums is enough. Even Mobb Deep didn’t do much after The Infamous
