The government have briefed to the Sun they’ve deported their migrant to Rwanda tonight, but if you scratch beneath the surface the story is they’ve given him £3k and paid for his flight.

This guy could literally get a cheap flight back to the UK
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And get paid £3k to leave again!! This is some desperate attempt to get votes for Thursday, how pathetic
This is a voluntary relocation. Someone who's been assessed here, found not to have a valid case & paid £2000 to go to Rwanda (for now - no obligation to stay). Nothing to do with the 'Rwanda scheme' of forcibly sending people to Rwanda *instead of* assessing their case here.

Very stupid to pay this guy off... so many will want to get the same deal

ITV News has learned that imports of food and plants from the EU are being waved through customs even if they have incorrect paperwork
So we’re now a smuggler’s paradise lads, are we officially third world now?

Polis that attended yesterdays sword frenzy might lose her hand and her colleague is also suffering an arm injury. The Met rightly get abused when they deserve it so it's right that they get praised for putting themselves in harms way. Hope they both have a full recovery

Nothing in that is specific.
TBH it seems a whole lot more sensible, more grown up, to consult with business and unions before blurting out a policy that eventually then needs to be u-turned on, surely we've had enough of ideological wishful
burblings that turn out to be unworkable.

I find it very strange that we give politicians crap for changing their policies based on rolling information instead of being steadfast regardless.

Sunak keeps saying economics isn't Starmer's strong point in PMQs, despite being a PM who has presided over a cost of living crisis. He must be the least self aware PM we have ever had.
