“On average, the party’s support is down by eight points since last year in wards where more than 10% of people identify as Muslim.”

Think they'll let him hang himself in a GE, They know they're going to lose either way. Better to have a new leader come in fresh in opposition than off the back of a GE defeat inflicted by the previous leader.
Buy its the Tories so who knows, the next leadership contest could merge with the next season of the Apprentice and it wouldn't surprise me with these lot.
