comment by *TRIGGER* ...the man formerly known as 'Reebok_Rebel' I was born under a wanderers scarf, GOD decided i was to be a wanderer. Praying for Fabrice Muamba, not for footballing reasons but because every little boy needs his daddy. #prayformuamba. (U5002)
Do you wet the bed?
Born and raised in tottenham. I'm a firm believer that you support where you come from, your "home town" as it were.
Never quite seen the logic of I'll support this team because they did well.
I'll still support tottenham hotspur even if we were relegated to the conference.

To be fair lots of 'glory hunters' are the life-long football fans, as young fans (6, 7, 8) will generally choose the biggest teams if they don't have a very close local team or they don't have a Dad who supports someone else. I supported Arsenal simply because they were the first team I heard of. I didn't have a local team when I was younger, not in Britain anyway, as I grew up in the Czech Republic.
This is 2012 Trigger, welcome to reality.
Trigger - what a plum. So I was born in Kirkby but because I now live on the continent I am a glory hunter? So to be a true fan you must be born and then live your life and then die in the town/city of the team you support? And your kids cannot follow your loyalty.
T pot of the first order.
Tommy smith exactly. I should now be a Toulouse fan then I suppose.
I should be a Botswana Defence Force XI fan then, if we were all to do that.
Bolton fans are a bit "special" to be honest.
I have a house near Gaillac Fred!
Well...you've got nothing toulouse from supporting them...
Phonetically you are Fred.

Tommy that's quite cool!! I live in Blagnac so you can guess who I work for haha.
im of the impression that anyone who supports man united or another 'successful' club and does NOT live in the town is a GLORY HUNTER...
-------------------
Alright, I'm an Arsenal fan who doesn't live in London. By your logic, I'm a glory hunter.
My question is, why should I care? Because I don't. I really, really do not care that you think I'm a glory hunter.
It chills me how little I care. I can feel myself dying a little inside due to the total, unrelenting apathy I have towards your opinion regarding my passion for the team I support.
Historians will write books about how little I care. Great tomes that scroll on for thousands of pages throughout a dozen different volumes.
And, years from now, the billions of people around the world who also don't care what you think will come together and construct a monument to the ennui I am experiencing now.
Does this also mean Amir Khan is a glory hunter since he doesn't live in Bolton anymore?
Fred, I am still waiting to see one of the snub nosed planes you built take off! I am driving down there twice in the coming weeks. Normally I fly. Metz-Lyon-Toulouse.
You see, I can see the point the Trigger fella is making - and it's a fair point to some degree, but the way he choses to make his point kinda kills the whole argument. Dikhed.
