It's not offensive to go to a fancy dress party as someone of the opposite gender.
I don't think going as someone with a different skin colour is any worse than that.

Personally, I agree, but others don't. I guess I'll never understand it.

Is it offensive to get a tan? Wear makeup that makes your skin appear lighter?
