Marina Granivskaia gets some unfair stick. She is excellent at getting great fees for players we are trying to sell and we seldom overpay market rates for players.
Before someone says what about Bakayoko or Morata I would counter that just because they flopped terribly doesnt mean they werent bought fir the market rate.
She isnt however a football specialist or a strategist, or someone with the skillset to plan the set up of a squad,
She is perfectly fine as a CEO or whatever her title is, but she isnt a DoF. We need someone with a footballing mind to do that stuff.
And this isnt me being sexist, I am sure there could be a female DoF who knew what to do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree with this completely. She's obviously good at what she does but I don't think she should be solely in charge of our recruitment as she has been since Emenalo left.
Need someone alongside her who can complement her skillset.

Fack...we really do need to beat $puds on Thursday now don't we
In fact I'd go as far as to say Sarri seriously needs to be questioned on his thinking if we don't
Someone tell me it aint so

NPE most of our academy and loan players aren’t food enough. The likes of CHO, Ampadu and James are very rare occurrences.
When was the last time we brought in relative unknowns like Drogba or Essien and made them world class? Not saying they were nobodies but they weren’t the usual household names of the time. Was it Azpi 7 years ago? Maybe Rudiger’s on the brink of being one?

Is Mount not a great prospect?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We don't speak of prospects on here....
Forgot about Mount. But that’s still only a handful out of a literal army
I wish we would go back to making signings like De Bruyne NPE that’s what I’m talking about, doesn’t have to be a big name to be a potential amazing signing

DeBruyne, Salah, Lukaku...but we sold them.
I also think even if he didnt live up to expectations that Oscar is one of the most talented players Chelsea have ever had. I get sad thinking how he never kicked on from his first season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Funnily enough he'd be perfect for the LCM role.

Here's my two penneth worth
Put AC (or Ampadu) at the back with Azpi & Rudi in a three - drop Alonso
Play Luiz in DM next to Kante
Midfield needs to be Emerson (wide) Haz Pedro & CHO (wide) with hopefully Higuian up front
Hold Kova Jorg & Willian on the bench
Obviously this won't be popular though
