Have I Got News For You
@haveigotnews

As Chelsea face up to a trophyless future with no money to spend on transfers, football fans begin to wonder how long government sanctions have been in place at Tottenham.

That’s one thing I agree with Steve, us not knowing the extent of his involvement whilst singing his name. Ridiculous

It is tasteless. Celebrating those who've done well by the club is one thing, but this just isn't reading the room at all. I find it quite hard to believe he or any oligarch for that matter is even in favour of this war let alone funding it, responsible for feeding the monster yes but not the war itself, but all the same there's people watching who'd feel hurt by that so we don't need to do it. Lacks dignity & class.

Exactly what I told the idiots on the Spurs thread yesterday... The same ones that still use the Y word despite being told not to

#Chelsea will not have to alter their travel or accommodation plans for #UCL clash vs LOSC Lille next week as the trip had already been booked and paid for.

#Chelsea are now presenting to Treasury and DCMS officials what the club need to spend in order to survive. It 'appears likely' that the Government will be prepared to tweak the restrictions where necessary to ensure the club do not go out of business.

I’ll be interested to see which players don’t travel though if they’re not vaccinated. Are those rules still in place in France?

It’s axed from March 14th so everyone’s fine

Pretty much every has or will have done by end of the month, even Austria scrapped their mandatory vaccine the other day.

Only US still not letting unvaccinated in which is ironic considering they have one of the lowest uptakes worldwide

The UK government views Nick Candy and a consortium headed by Todd Boehly and Hansjörg Wyss as serious contenders to buy #Chelsea after inviting potential bidders to approach it with takeover proposals.

The current situation is 'urgent' from #Chelsea’s perspective. Fears are growing that the Blues could fall into administration if a sale is not agreed soon due to income streams being restricted.

It is understood that Candy, a Tory donor, is also seen as a strong contender to buy Chelsea. The property developer is working on finding investors and his proposals include plans for an expensive redevelopment of Stamford Bridge, which could work in his favour. Candy, a Chelsea fan, is worth a reported £1.5bn.

Nick Candy’s proposals would include an expensive redevelopment of Stamford Bridge.

Boehly/Wyss have made a bid and are waiting on a decision. Candy still putting a proposal together.

So who are we preferring at this stage? Boehler/Wyss or the Candy consortium?

posted on 11/3/22

Candy Consortium isn't a valid proposition yet.

posted on 11/3/22

Candy has to have another partner(s), so it depends who they are I suppose. I think going off everything then Boehly looks to invest more and get us a new image. Candy being a chelsea fan perhaps had a better view of what we want and better chance of bridge being redeveloped

posted on 11/3/22

Trouble is the more fingers in these consortium pies we have the less clear vision we have, and the less good sound decisions we might make

posted on 11/3/22

Think with these consortium's most of the people will be in the back ground with Candy/Boehly at the front.
