Candy has to have another partner(s), so it depends who they are I suppose. I think going off everything then Boehly looks to invest more and get us a new image. Candy being a chelsea fan perhaps had a better view of what we want and better chance of bridge being redeveloped
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah the stadium redevelopment issue is going to play a big part it seems as it's constantly getting mentioned.
Would put Candy at the head of the queue I assume if he gets his consortium together well.
I wouldn't rule out a Candy/Boehly consortium yet.
Is that an option? I thought Boehler/Wyss had their own thing going on without the need for a consortium
I'd like us to be run a lot smarter. The amount of money we waste on poor recruitment, and the hodgepodge nature of it is infuriating. Can't help but be a touch envious seeing clubs like pool invest heavily into analytics.
Also have to feel, that for the stature of the club, our commercial deals always seem to lag a bit behind. And therefore we bring in less than we could be.
Perhaps a generalisation but I feel that someone with a knowledge of American sports, like Boehly, could probably make huge improvements for us as a club in these areas.

Anything possible in business I suppose. I think even Boehley/Wyss had others backing them as well.
Government open negotiations with Roman Abramovich's advisers over selling Chelsea - with Downing Street keen to push through fast after Russian was sanctioned... but owner has to agree to writing off £1.5bn loans without receiving a single penny!
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10603589/UK-Government-open-negotiations-Roman-Abramovichs-advisers-selling-Chelsea.html?ito=push-notification&ci=4oNH84ArUQ&cri=GtKu6XJ5gH&si=0DRm97DVPz12&xi=cceac076-5b6d-476d-9cfc-037d6912608a&ai=10603589
Government source: With Roman Abramovich sanctioned they are conscious of ensuring it is not 'business as usual at #Chelsea,' indicating that the players and staff may have to cope with working in a less luxurious environment.
[via @MailSport]
Mail - The most pressing short-term issue for Chelsea is persuading the government to raise the £500,000 cap on match-day operating costs. In ordinary circumstances a match-day at Stamford Bridge costs closer to £1m, and without a change to the cap Chelsea may have to close some areas of the ground as they will be unable to pay all the stewards and security staff required to operate safely.
The government are ready to grant a special licence to The Raine Group to complete the sale of #Chelsea, although they would retain oversight of the process and are likely to demand that all the money raised be given away to charities linked to Ukraine.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
there’s no way our revenue should be so close to Spurs’ and so far behind City’s given we’re probably a bigger club than both of them combined. Although I guess City’s is inflated so kind of irrelevant when comparing.

This is why I am actually quite optimistic - assuming we can get through the next few weeks without going into administration. We have so much potential - under real leadership we could grow to become the biggest brand in football.
What I don't understand though is how the government can expect Roman Abramovich (or his representatives) to agree to do anything. They are asking him to agree to forgive 1.5B in loans. Why should he? There is literally nothing in it for him - why would he agree to help them in any way? I hope I'm wrong, but I can see Roman's participation in any sale as very difficult to get.
Worst part is I just know journos have been bugging and moralising all our corporate sponsors all day.
Our media reporter bugged Three multiple times.
Separate to football, I spent a whole day pestering Shell, BP and various others to divest from Russia.
Not deluded enough to say I influenced their call - but I was part of nagging mob generating media pressure.
