The first time in 2 years I had a tiny bit of optimism about this club. Any good work has been undone. Why bother
🚨 In the view of key figures at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s season, viewed as a whole, fell short of pre-season expectations and raised issues such as the crippling injury list. (@Matt_Law_DT)

The injuries were already disastrous before Poch tho
Personally be happy with De Zerbi, but does seem they want someone a bit more malleable.

🚨 Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement at Chelsea
🔷 Stuttgart’s Sebastian Hoeness
🔷 Girona’s Michel
🔷 Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna
🔷 Leicester City’s Enzo Maresca.

Be careful what you wish for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wish for none of them lol. What do they think these jabronis are gonna achieve that Poch wasn’t working towards. If you have a top tier winner available then sure replace him. But why do they think that anyone outside the club must automatically be better than what we already have. Is it just because it’s more expensive
Depends if they have a replacement
Pooch was terrible for more than 3/4 of a season, a little run at the end wasn't really good enough........but if there isn't someone available then this is dumb as I said yesterday he is around the top of the mid-tier managers.
Will wait and see
Also the fact that its "by mutual agreement" suggests Pooch wasn't exactly happy either
This is a definite sign Gallagher is being sold, as if it wasn’t already obvious.

Pochettino could not see eye to eye with key figures at Chelsea, and fell short of outlined expectations. Training regime brought under question leading to further injuries.
Todd Boehly not thought to have been a key figure in decision, Behdad Eghbali had the final say.

Who can blame him. Question is, which manager would be happy with these owners.
I wouldn't have removed Poch because I prefer stability, and if he left because he couldn't support our transfer strategy then he gets my respect too. I completely accept the biggest issue is our owners and squad management.
But he also made plenty of mistakes, there were lots of low moments this season, and I can't say I am sad he's gone either.
I just hope we luck out with a top manager because unless that happens we'll be in this mess every season.
Don't think you can read into anything regarding 'mutual agreement', that's just standard face saving nonsense
Basically agree with npe on this
It wasn't a happy marriage either way. Poch wasn't happy, looked depleted in every interview after the Wolves game and he himself thought he was gone after that result.
He's hinted several times at it that he or his back room team weren't happy.
Rightly or wrongly its happened now. And I said earlier in the season when we all thought he was gone that this next appointment will be the important one
What the fack are we doing

Dunno, as always we barely have 10% of the story. I don't even pretend to know what is happening in the board room or what Pooch wanted. So who knows. However if there is no communication between manager and board is not a good thing, and if the stories are to be believed will be a massive problem
The problem is getting rid of him at a time when his level of support was easily the highest it’s been since his arrival. Finally there was something positive cooking and that’s when they pulled the trigger.
Even with Potter it wasn’t too dissimilar albeit to a lesser extent.
And then with a new manager we’ll have to wait a long time again for them to figure things out.
The only manager that shared the owners vision was that wet yes man Potter
There were no disagreements over who should be in charge of transfers or which players should or should not be sold. The differences are explained as being more philosophical and relate to the dynamics of working within a club structure at Chelsea. (via @Matt_Law_DT)

isn’t this what they said about Tuchel
Pochettino was dismissive of set-piece specialists, insisting “we are a coaching staff in charge of everything” before later adding: “Football belongs to the players. Not to the specialists.”
That was at odds with the structure being built by Chelsea’s owners and sporting directors, who have made it abundantly clear they believe football belongs to the players and the specialists.

One step forward, two steps back.
More unnecessary risk taking from these gambling addicts.
If you want a manager who is too much of a loser to have a backbone then expect loser results like Potter

True. And if that was the only factor I cared about I'd be more angry.
Poch however, had months and months of poor management and decision making on the pitch, which he did control. So, while the last month has been much better I can't pretend this is some gross outrage.
Some of those around Pochettino claimed that Chelsea’s difficulties at defending from set-pieces could be easily explained by a relative lack of height within the squad, which would point the finger at those who assembled it. (via @Matt_Law_DT)
