I was quite hopeful we could get top 4 next season. Forget about it. Our squad is going to be worse and we won’t have the continuity factor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's where I disagree, some people are getting rose tinted about Poch now.

Didn’t they come in and specifically make a point about not getting through managers quickly like Roman

I don’t think going from 6th to 4th is an unrealistic hope.

Especially not when you consider that if the table had started on Jan 1st we'd have finished in 4th position. The improvement is a clear, undeniable fact.

This - we saw improvement for in total for about 3 games at the end. Anyone who comes in imo can easily continue what Pooch eventually got going.....as honestly it really wasn't that much. We get someone who who can get our defence in some form of order and the dumb owners don't sell key players we'll be fine, throw in a CB who can stay fit and a striker and we'll be laughing

Going through some of the articles on it now from Matt Law etc and a few others. Main disagreement seems to be that Poch didn't want the back room dynamic more than anything else. Believed his team were good enough as they were and didn't want additional input on that. Was against the hiring of the set piece coach from Brentford apparently which was a big stumbling block in the end.

Transfers apparently wasn't a massive issue with regards to incoming/outgoings

What I mean is I don't think Poch managed us very well, sorry.

I think the 5pt gap to Villa probably could have been reached this season without his poor management and inability to control games.

Top of my head - Burnley home, Sheff Utd away, Wolves home, Forest home, Brentford home woefully mismanaged games.

Or the embarassment of the 5-0 vs Arsenal or the Klopps Kids Final.

Now on balance I'd have kept him but we need to be clear eyed and stop the hagiographies.

Judging by what these owners want we may as well just have an AI as manager

If this is the case then glad he's gone - fook me even Stevie Wonder could see we needed some form of defensive coaching that he was unable to give. Sure most betting places stopped taking bets that we would concede from set pieces

It'll be hilarious if we get Tuchel back to see people on here have no idea whether they should be delighted, baffled, furious or all three at once.

Chelsea want somebody with a possession-based brand of football, who is able to mould their squad into being able to control games and remain defensively stable. (via @Matt_Law_DT)

If we had an actual good replacement I wouldn’t even mind

But the names mention do not seem to be clear improvements, so why mess with things

The best manager we've ever had at controlling possession while being defensively sound is/was Tuchel and he's not coming back.

Only manager who suits above is Amorim imo.

Sporting set several club records: Most points in a season (90 points), most wins in a season (29 wins) and for the first time in the club's history, Sporting finished with a 100% win record for all home matches (17 wins out of 17).

Won the league, 2 defeats all season. Possession based, average of 2.85 goals scored per game and 0.85 conceded.

Anyone else based off them comments doesn't fit, at all.
