Hire McKenna, why not? Seriously, why not?
F*ck it, really embrace it! Hire Mourinho
Nah, not really buying that Devil.
We have issues as a club - but those existed pre Poch, during Poch and presumably after Poch.
But I don't really blame the club for not wanting to keep him based on this season.

This is f*cking dumb. If you wanna play fake Roman (despite saying he was cr@p, but w/e), sack Poch after Wolves defeat... or after the LC Final. Don't wait until he was finally starting to bloody do something! Jesus christ.
Exactly he even got Cucurella and Caicedo in great form the last month feel like he was finally making his mark
The strongest arguments for keeping Pochettino (which I broadly supported) is our issues as a club weren't to do with him, you can't trust the club to hire the right replacement, and the alternatives available aren't very appealing.
That's still all true.
But what's also true is that he was mostly unconvincing this season, and that our team struggled to control games all season.
It's also true that if they're committed to one approach they need a manager that suits it - even if that's McKenna or someone - to give it the best chance of succeeding.
So, while it's a risk, I can't really hammer them for changing the manager.

Yeah but we don't like improvement here clearly. We were happy with midtable, can't be going any higher than that. Let's bring in Mr midtable himself De Zerbi. He's the man to keep us where we're comfortable.
Yeah I dunno what lens I've been watching this season through but I don't see this negative slant on it, haven't from the beginning.
He's delivered on my expectations. I wanted a team that had the capability to create chances again, building on Potter's work towards the end of his run (and erasing the Lampard interlude), he did that. And my ideal pre-season expectations for finishes were 6th + at least one cup run... he did it with interest, had two cup runs. The only time all season I ever wavered with him was after the Arsenal defeat - I said Spurs game is judgement day, lose that & he probably does need to go just to uphold standards if nothing else. We won + all the rest of the games this season. Passed with flying colours.
I have always been sympathetic towards managers, and I wouldn't necessarily say I'm upset about losing this manager per say, but it's just another instance of these owners doing something I can't get on-board with. If they re-hire Tuchel OK, that still might be a mistake as Poch has built a rapport with this team, but I can at least get behind that decision emotionally. At this point even if we hired someone like Amorim (who the more I read of him I like) I can't justify the decision.

Just prefer it months before it finally turned up personally. And have said before most his "tactical" changes seemed like they were forced rather than planned - Enzo injury being the biggest one, needing to change and thus giving Conor and Moises more room to work which then has seen Moises biggest improvements. Maybe it's coincidence, but I feel the defensive part of midfield was overly cautious playing Enzo/Conor/Moises all the time and that basically meant they spent most games tripping over each other and leaving us light in attack. Will give him the Cucu transition but this is the only really thing I can give to Pooch over an entire season. Defensively fragile, and except the final month the attack was slow and galcial at best. Good 90mins over a season i do I don't even need a single hand to count.
Poch gone? Oh thank god for that.
What’s going on in here? Every decking twaught rumor about why Poch left is believed and any rumor linking is with Tuchel is laughed off as impossible? All of a sudden Poch was the only thing keeping us from being relegated 3 leagues in one year?
The teams form turned around a bit and it wasn’t even great. It was just better than awful. But he’s the lost savior and people are really discussing losing their love for the club? What a bunch of horse shat

It’s all about getting a replacement who is significantly better. The names suggested do not give hope in that regard.

The idea is if improvement was shown you keep him going into next season. Improvement was shown, those users were vindicated.
Would those same users now say "see keeping him was the right move, now hopefully he buggers off"? Probably not cos that's stupid... and yet this ownership did just that
I can't help thinking back to all those feelers last year coming out during Potter's darkest hours saying the same thing - this ownership believe in managerial stability!
Year & a half later & Roman's f*cking blushing
I only just thought of this (apologies if it's already been discussed). Be very interesting to see what happens with Gallagher now.
I don't wanna believe the club would actually sell him, but with Poch here next season he almost certainly wouldn't have been sold, now it's more up in the air.

What was he doing? Two days ago 12th placed Bournemouth took 22 shots at us, hit the post, only went 1-0 down due to a freak goal, and they only had Solanke on for half the game
Opening day performance >>>>> final day performance
But oh no he’s gone what are we going to do without his sh’tty basketball tactics, non existent set piece defending (he doesn’t believe in set piece coaches you see), and his constant gaslighting in the media
We wouldn’t have signed Cole Palmer if he had his way but oh noooooo they won’t give him transfer power to signed dusted players what a disgrace

The Palmer signing was a bit of a fluke. We first tried to sign Olise, then Smith Rowe and then we went for Palmer.
and surely even you can see this team needs more experienced players
Sterling most likely stays now. I guess most will be given another chance or at least pre season to impress the new manager.

Why it's very simple. We bring in another manager who, lets see, probably has silly imbalanced tactics (cos that's in fashion now believe it or not, attack or die & all that), who probably won't have set piece coaches as it's a relatively new thing that a lot of managers are sceptical about. Actually I take this back. Potter didn't, and as such we got brilliant quotes such as "that's life", which I hear Chelsea fans absolutely loved
So there's 3 reasons why Pochettino won't be in charge next season:
1) He wanted to basically have the choice of vetoing any transfer in and out
2) He didn't want this set piece coach we've just got from Brentford.
3) The club felt that we should have been scoring more with the chances we were creating.
