De Zerbi's just not for me. He's probably the right choice if all we care about is pretty football & I could see him doing OK in that respect, but this archetypal appointment NEVER works around these parts. The fans don't have the patience, on present evidence these owners don't either, and neither does De Zerbi himself

I suppose in a sense he'd kind of justify sacking Poch as at least he takes the "project" in a different direction, but all signs suggest it doesn't last so what's the point?

🚨 Chelsea enquired for HoeneB a few weeks ago but I am totally convinced he is 100% staying at Stuttgart. (@Plettigoal)

I was never a huge fan of Poch, but like most fans I would still have kept him for one more year - just to see if he could continue our progress. But, I’m hardly going to shed a tear that he’s gone. He’s not a winner, and like most people here I was concerned he was turning us into a a blue version of Spurs.

Having said that, we had the 4th best results since Christmas, and at least for next year I would have been satisfied with a top 4 finish. I think we all agree that the decision making by the people running the club seems insane.

But……just imagine for a minute that the owners are right and all of us are wrong. That our team of young, inexperienced players full of potential is ready to fire us to glory with the right new, inspirational leader! I know most of the squad seemed to like Poch - but can you see him as the guy to lead us to glory? Maybe, just maybe, our owners are right.

Probably not though.

Yeah, I would put Hoeness or Amorim at the top of this list - but why would they leave Stuttgart or Sporting (and CL football) to come to Chelsea.

Jackson deleted the facepalm insta stories

Obviously got told to delete them Lol

Yet another example of how stupid Jackson is. Posting a facepalm insta story is basically saying your employers are idiots. He is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, is he.

Erik ten Hag is expected to leave Old Trafford in the summer and the 3 targets are expected to be Kieran McKenna, Roberto de Zerbi & Mauricio Pochettino.

For Chelsea, the leading candidates are Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna & Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca.

Terminating Pochettino's deal a year early will cost Chelsea around £3m.

BBC article also says out of Brighton, Utd (if they sack Ten Hag), and Chelsea that we are the front runners.

That's the problem though, these owners have now cornered themselves into a situation where they have to be right with this next appointment to validate parting ways with a manager who started to do well.

Where do we go next if this next appointment doesn't work ? It's just as reactionary as it was under Roman if not worse. This time though there are no trophies to validate all the sackings.

Chelsea are believed to be in pole position for Kieran McKenna, despite Brighton’s interest. Any club will need to pay at least £4m compensation to take McKenna and assistant Martyn Pert. (via @NizaarKinsella)

I knew he was part of Solskjaer's team at United along with Carrick. Literally had no idea he'd become a manager until like a week ago

As are ardent followers of Ipswich Town, I know him. Promising manager, whose career will get wrecked at Chelsea.

Look at Ipswich goals conceded btw

Chelsea and De Zerbi is really really quiet, no contact at this stage. (@FabrizioRomano)
