the ownership is dusted
With tuchel and now poch its clear they cant get on with managers who perform ok.
With potter and lampard its clear when they get a yes man that its the wrong hire completley
They seem to want to be successful but every year they throw out everything and start again
exactly the same thing will happen next season, poch wasnt great, lets not delude ourselves into this BUT, he had the dressing room and he had us improving and there was a good chance we could push on next season and push for trophies and CL qualification.
Gallaghers role with Caicedo really helped things and he looked great at the end of the season ( im his biggest critic ) and Trev was outstanding after coming back from injury.
they will be sold in the summer for profit
James will be next season and we will have to deal with a manager who will unlikely last until xmas
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some managers do OK with the set up. Bigger thing abroad to have a Tech Director etc who controls all the transfers and so on. Obviously we also have them here, but I think at times managers abroad can give a bit less input over who comes in and goes. Not all obviously, its caused issues at PSG a few times
It's just such an unknown. If we get Mckenna for example, he could be brilliant and the best thing since sliced bread for us. Or he could be a shambles. We just don't know 😆

Mate, he has feck all experience. In what way does an inexperienced coach work with an inexperienced squad and deliver CL football? I think it would be a huge ask of him and will probably make Poch look like a genius

I don't think this ownership can recover from such a poor start that the last two years have been.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Depends very much how we follow on...a lot will depend on if we can build on Europa League (depending on City at the wekeend) and how we do in the league next season etc.
But it will massively depend on who we bring in as manager and who stays or goes. We could go even further backwards.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It would be very difficult for me to bet against us going even further backwards. They don't know what they're doing, it's very clear.
If they get this next managerial appointment wrong then there's going to be such a bad feeling and breakdown between fans and ownership. Probably an unrecoverable one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mate, I am passed that point. These owners are utte4 khantz

So there's 3 reasons why Pochettino won't be in charge next season:
1) He wanted to basically have the choice of vetoing any transfer in and out
2) He didn't want this set piece coach we've just got from Brentford.
3) The club felt that we should have been scoring more with the chances we were creating.

If number 3 is true then just

I have to say some of you are being overly dramatic.
I'd have kept Poch, but literally a month ago I was in a minority of one on here for that opinion.
Now, with him leaving some of you wailing and crying next season is over and it's the end of Chelsea as we know it. Ffs, get a grip.
If you want to criticise the owners approach, fine - I do all the time, I don't support our signings or direction either, but Poch was hardly the messiah. He made loads of errors this season, there's no reason we can't upgrade on him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Minority of 2 actually. The only time I momentarily wanted him gone was after the second incident of penalty fighting.
Under the circumstances, I think he has done a good job, I really do. Never the long term solution, but the right short term solution,
Unless we hire a top draw experienced manager, and recruit some good experienced players we are just as fecked as we were 2 years ago when Tuchel left.
I believe these owners think they are football geniuses, and through data analysis, have the holy grail to success in football.
Unless they learn and change, forget achievement and growth.
🚨 📄 Chelsea have identified a shortlist of candidates to become their next head coach and hope to make an appointment in a matter of days. The Athletic list:
🔷 Kieran McKenna
🔷 Enzo Maresca
🔷 Thomas Frank
🔷 Sebastian Hoeness (challenging)
🔷 Vincent Kompany (unlikely)
🔷 De Zerbi (unlikely, but not ruled out)
Thomas Tuchel, Antonio Conte or Jose Mourinho - no chance.
(via @liam_twomey / @SJohnsonSport)
I have also been unwavering in my support for Poch, there were a handful of us! Although I do agree that he got more stick than he should, most likely a combination of his Spurs links and unrealistic expectations. For me, we had improved in 1st half of the season and got even better in the 2nd. A huge increase in points across just one season. I was genuinely looking forward to next season and thought Top4 was likely - you'd like to think we could have leapfrogged Spurs and Villa next year with the momentum we'd built, and Liverpool are likely to be weaker post-Klopp. Now its far less certain that we'd mount a top4 challenge.
I wish the owners had looked at Klopp's and Arteta's route to success...nothing happened overnight but there were really strong early indicators that there were building something very positive, and with a bit of time and a couple team changes they got there. I think Poch is that type of manager.
All the names we're linked with seem risky, a couple of very impressive seasons without a long standing track record. Hopefully we strike gold and get our 2004 Mourinho appointment. But it just seems an unnecessary risk when things were going well.
Chelsea are hoping to appoint a manager in the coming days.
(via @liam_twomey)
I think if we had come out stronger in the second half of matches more often than not, or not capitulated in the second half, he would of had a lot more of a chance of still being here. Again, not his fault on missed chances etc, but I've never seen a side be so nackered in the second half of games.

Yet, this side on several occasions scored last mi ute equalisers and winners and overturned scoreline deficits
Shd have beaten a weakened Liverpool in the Cup final, but that is what you get with an inexperienced team. Very credible performance agst City in the faculty semi final. Again, this group of players lack the experience and leaders to win those type of games.
No one is gonna convince me any other non elite experienced manager would have done better with this squad, its its injuries, its age and I maturity.
And it seems that Poch wanted to add the missing ingredients for improvement, namely experience in key positions, and the owners said no....we want to go even younger.
Now let's see where transfer policy and managerial re ruitment goes this summer.
Even the womens team could be royally fecked now.
