Surprised VAR didn’t turn over that non-pen call. Because it wasn’t Chelsea.

The Brazilian kid we just signed scored tonight and did the Palmer celebration

It is way too early but it does feel like we've signed a top talent in Estevao Willian. Technically superb.

Looks like we're after an unexperienced CF. Gone from Duran to the kid from Atletico to the kid from Barca.

The Barca kid and Jonathan David would do nicely

We should just get him then. It's a low risk signing and gives us a respectable strike force. Some of these other names getting banded about are worrying.

Jonathan David looks quick and good on the ball so I think he'll do alright in the PL. No guarantees he'll be good but I suspect he'd be a tidy signing.

Chelsea has won the race to sign Barcelona striker Marc Guiu. His transfer to the Premier League side could be ‘officially announced’ in the ‘next few hours’.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has spoken to Marc Guiu several times and wants him in the first team. Marc Guiu likes Chelsea's sporting project and is attracted to the Premier League, which he considers the best league in the world

With all these rumours of us buying another striker (Guiu and David), as well as the link with winger Nico Williams, I’d almost forgotten that we still have Nkunku. It’s difficult to guess what the new manager has in mind, but do you think Nkunku would be a starter for us?

Palmer was looking more and more like a number 10 rather than a right winger at the end of last season - but that was under Poch. If we play a 4-2-3-1 would the front 4 look like this:

————————Jackson————————
Williams—————Nkunku————-Palmer

Or like this?
————————Jackson————————
—Nkunku————-Palmer————Madueke

Buying some random Villa youth player for £19m apparently.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Few people on Twitter think it's a dodgy deal between us and Villa. £19m for a (as far as everyone can tell) average/normal youth player with barely any first team experience is unusual. It got a little jargony for me to fully understand but apparently the pure profit Villa will make from an academy player is better for PSR purposes that would provide the incentive for such a deal.
