Tosin was okay because he's a free, he's not been too bad when he's played.

The french CBs were a waste, complete and utter rip off too

Still can't actually believe Pep let Palmer go....awful as bad as Jose not rating salah or Kev

After letting those two slip between our fingers we were due a bit of luck. No way that Pep isn't kicking himself for selling Palmer lol.

Anybody remember mason mount by the way?

I sort of can forgive Jose for the Salah one — he was an erratic player for us and Hazard and Willian were both more reliable. Plus we only loaned him out.

We sold him under Conte, and that was our famously awful 2017 window when we got Bakoyoko and Drinkwater.

KDB was the baffling one, his talent was clear and obvious.

Also strange from pep but he didn't play Foden from the start today. What's his thinking there...?

Mason Mount hasn't looked the same since his injury two years ago.

I won't go as far as saying he's finished, but he's got to deliver for Utd this season or he's basically going to have rebuild his career.

I was gutted at the time, but the club has been vindicated so far tbf.

Mount signing for United made little to no sense considering Bruno plays in the same position. He's been injured since he moved anyway lol.

Said it before but peak Mount suited Liverpool's style of play a lot more.

Can’t believe we signed Fofana instead of Kounde. Injuries aside he’s a much inferior yet more expensive player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I honestly think Chalobah is superior to all four of the CBs — Fofana, Disasi, Badiashile, Tosin — that he's been ditched for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Really need to find a RCB either in Jan or more likely next summer.

Tosin is better on the ball then Fofana, but a back up at most.

Or just let Chalobah back in the squad after his loan ends

I don’t even think he should be first choice for us, but may as well keep him even if we sign someone new

Yeah I thought he would have moved to Liverpool as he's a high energy type of player. United was a strange move, I'm not that surprised it hasn't worked out to date

Chalobah is squad player at best, he's better than our current options but we need world class beside Colwill. Someone dominant and a leader

Yep. Don’t wanna go overboard on how good Chalobah is.

It's less how good Chalobah is — although I think he is a steady starter for a team challenging for top four — but more that we spent £140m on Fofana, Badiashile and Disasi who are all worse.

Fofana can still come good. He’s shown it before. But that’s both asking him to stay healthy and improve. Feels unlikely at this point but still young.

Bads and Disasi I have no excuses for.

Rudiger, Christensen (yes, Christensen), Guehi all superior to what we have left as well.

posted on 28/9/24

Imagine Guehi and Colwill right now, we'd be set for a decade.

Even Tomori's become Milan's most important CB. So he's another we let go for players less superior

I'm sure it's a position we're looking at though, so hopefully we can sort it out in the summer.

I'd like to see Fofana this season if he stays healthy and yo from there.

Then take into account our awful record recently of identifying problem areas and our need to buy more wingers!

Don't get me wrong Felix, Neto and Sancho give us incredible depth, but damn our CBs minus Silva looked dog sheite for an entire season.......and we don't do anything

Never wanted Tomori to go. The rest I was fine with. Guehi left on his own accord from what I recall.
