I think the team need credit for coming back. We went 1-0 down and nearly went 2-0 down. In previous seasons we'd have usually folded at that point but we came back to win 4-2 and we probably should have scored another two or three. I'll take that all day long
-------------------------------------------------------
That was kind of my takeaway from the Bournemouth game.
Putting my armchair managers hat on, we probably should've made more of an effort to slow the game down cos Bournemouth were playing the high tempo better than us - we were playing their game & not the other way round. But I was impressed we kept going & did punish them when their battery ran flat. Good fitness & conviction on display there.
If we have played that game in 2019 w/Lampard when we were still at the top, I'd have had concerns about the immediate future. But in 2024 in the aftermath of all the new owners sh!t, I was encouraged by it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That came was quite predictable as it played out. I think most of us could see that if we could stay in the game till about 70mins or 75mins we had a great chance to win. Luckily we didn't gift Bournemouth 2 goals on the day.
We're a little fortune they had a shoot on sight policy in that game. I dunno if that's how they play or if they targeted Sanchez?

If they were targeting Sanchez they would have just passed to him rather than shoot at him
Sanchez definitely needs dropping. There's a reason why he was dropped last season and our results then improved.
Not that we currently need an upturn in results as we're doing well in that regard but keeper is such a vital position in any team, you can't mess around there.
Don't know much about Jorgensen but I'd be tempted to start him next game.
He is a decent shot stopper, even yesterday he made some decent saves. But if you are a defender playing in front of him, you can never fully trust him not to feck up
I much prefer Petrovic to Sanchez. Find it kinda weird that went into this season with our dropped number 2 keeper from last season.

Hmm, Petrovic was a better shot stopper. There's a little too much of Mendy in Sanchez for my liking. Big guy but seems stiff, should be a commanding presence in the box but isn't really.
Petrovic was what he is. Good shot stopper & that's pretty much it. Was what's advertised on the tin.
Sanchez being the difference in us not getting that all important 4th spot this season is my fear. We need a better and more reliable keeper in nets, I don't think that can be disputed tbf.
I'll happily keep Sanchez as a backup keeper that we hopefully wouldn't need to call on too often. But that's about it.

My opinion of every keeper we've had since Courtois left. Cech & Cudicini spoilt me rotten
It's weird how since Courtois we haven't been able to get it right with keeper position.
Mendy was great for the CL winning season and I liked Petrovic for the time he was in nets last season but it's been much more of a problem position than it should have been.
Buying Kepa was probably the biggest reason for it all being such a chore. Terrible acquisition.
Why did Donnarumma's agent have to be Raiola!
He was the one
The United circus is in town
Werner....such a frustrating player still. Spins from midfield, drives brilliantly at the United defence, but then fecks up the easy pass to put his striker in on goal...deja vu

Yeah, we were heavily linked with Alison as well before he went to Liverpool. Sadly we ended up with the dunce while the others with top keepers that provided many years of service.

Wow - they are bad. I’d be laughing a lot more if it weren’t against Spurs.

Calling it as he sees it. He ripped into wolves yesterday
And Brunos off, can the spuddlings fook this?
Feels very harsh for a straight red, clumsy yes, but its outside of boot and not studs. Again surely this is what VAR is for?
United playing depression football. The worst type of football. I'd have turned off by now if I was a fan.
