You could have saved yourself a lot of time there. Spurs didn't match Liverpool, they upped the offer. Rodgers confirmed he knew the value of the player and wasn't prepared to meet the player's demands. Him going to Spurs obviously means they did meet his demands.
==
Where is the proof that Spurs offered more, do you believe BR would say that he is on a restricted budget at Liverpool and couldnt match the wage demands?
Still yet to see a figure offered by Liverpool and the deal he is on......just guess work from Reds
------------------------------------
I gave you the proof, you just have to make 2 from 1+1, not 3.
====
Without trawling back through reams of post that are based on gut feeling an opinion.....what proof did you give?
Or should we now accept BR's say on this as final

I'm accepting that he told the truth. I have no reason to believe he lied. Unless you can find some proof that he did?

You can accept he told the truth, but without any sort of proof you cannot say that Spurs offered more.
So all in all you are backing someone who could be lying. I on the otherhand prefer not to make a judgement until someone can give proof in favour of BR or Spurs.
I will however mock you for your blind faith in a manager who a) started tapping him up when he knew player was in talks with Swansea
b) without any proof made a silly statement that Spurs offered more cash!
Jheeeeeeze the micky mousers still going on about this, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

What an imbecilic statement.
I would absolutely guarantee that as the Liverpool manager he would be perfectly aware whether the player was offered more by Spurs.

No idea why somebody would do that. Who did that?
Sigurdsson didn't agree to Liverpools terms and Liverpool didn't go higher. Sigurdsson agreed to Spurs' terms. Sigurdsson went to Spurs, the end.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Which is far more palletable to a kopite audience than "we both made the same offer, but he chose Spurs ahead of Liverpool"
Fair play to Rodgers, he's doing his job, but you're naive if you believe without question what he's come out & stated as the 'facts'.

I believe him. You don't. Nobody is going to lose sleep over it. Well at least I'm not....
come off it, BR and Sigi known each other for a long time and im sure his father being his agent knew BR well aswell.
Trying to make out BR would of been in the dark about anything is hilarious !
I believe him. You don't
--------------------------------
You'd believe him if he said the Moon was made of cheese mate.
My theory is this.
Liverpool match Swansea offer as he accepted it previously and BR oversaw it so knew his market value etc etc.
Spurs came in knowing they had to offer much more wages to tempt Sigi away from working under BR again. Which is how football works they did what they had to, nobody is crying about this Potatoes so quiet down.
Spurs offer swayed Sigi head much to the disbelief of BR because he though playing would of come before finances for Sigi, he was wrong.
Now how would BR know that Spurs offered much more? Because Sigi's agent his father would of said this is Spurs offer if you match it Sigi will definately sign for Liverpool. BR probably laughed and asked why would i pay that when i know he accepted this much at Swansea, im not going to pay well over market value sorry.
And rightly so, BR and LFC did the right thing for once when it comes to being bent over a barrel. I hope it continues aswell despite people saying we will never sign anyone with an attitude like that.
Then so be it, YNWA !
