You just called me ridiculous.

Did I?

Bebe is inferior to any striker that we have on our books. He isn't scoring 20 goals anywhere. Not even Barcelona.

Maybe it was a little much but you can see the point I was making. We will be fine with Podolski and Giroud as they will still score enough goals between them to accommodate the loss of RVP.

Red Side

Yeah, because I was actually being ridiculous saying Arsenal would finish outside the top 4

posted on 25/7/12

i wouldnt be so sure on that look at podolski's record at club level 70 goals in 7 seasons at bundesliga isnt great

I would seriously resent van Persie if he joined another English side. That's all there is to it.

so would i if i was an arsenal fan but i wouldnt try and take away from what a fantastic player he is

Rob you've lost me.

Where on here did I mention you as being ridiculous?

His international record is fairly good though.

Last season, he scored 18 goals for a side that spent most of their games camped in their own half. Pretty impressive in my opinion.

Serious? After the amount of nonsense some Arsenal 'fans' have said about him, Van Persie carried Arsenal last season, and lets be honest here, he was the reason you lot will be in the Champions League this season, you havent won anything for a while, dont look to be adding too much quality to your squad, hes getting on in years, why would he feel that he should move abroad and be 'loyal' to Arsenal?

You said it was as ridiculous as someone saying that Arsenal would finish outside the top 4. I said that, so was just doing the whole mock indignation thing

We're cool man, i'm just a little drunk haha!!

Yes, but we can lie to ourselves to make us feel better. I'm sure most United fans did the same over Beckham, van Nistelrooy and co.

Because a lot of managers unlike Wenger would have gave up on him years ago with his terrible injury record. He should show some respect to Wenger.

yes but beckham and van nistelrooy left we had rooney and ronaldo

Its a silly question though, really cant see a good reason as to why Rooney would leave to go to Chelsea?

OP I thought United were doomed and the plug was to be pulled on spending

posted on 25/7/12

id be devastated but i would fully admit to the fact that our side would be the worse without him unless we replaced him with a worthy replacement e.g van persie

posted on 25/7/12

I maybe should've phrased that a little better because I wasn't suggesting that saying Arsenal would finish outside the top 4 is ridiculous for the reasons stated.
