Of course he did, trebling his wages never came into it.

He did make a bid, then started crying when Van Persie turned you down and started blaming Marwood.

posted on 21/8/12

i thought i corrected you about that on friday? van persie hasn't even doubled his arsenal wage, let alone 'trebled' it.

posted on 21/8/12

Of course not.

Then he bought Rodwell

posted on 21/8/12

if he had, he would be the clubs highest weekly earner. but he isn't.

Wenger said United were the only club to make a bid, maybe he was telling 's.

posted on 21/8/12

again incorrect. what wenger actually said was that only united made a bid within the region that arsenal valued van persie at. united, juventus and city all made initial bids in july.

CrouchEndGooner - Sir Chesney - Mark Flatts had Real Ronaldo's hair before it was cool (U13531)

RvP left the club he'd been with for 8 years and uprooted his family from London so he could play for United for £25k a week.

Because they are paying them far too much that nobody else will pay.

We couldn't bid because our owner said "Don't waste £24m of my hard earned on an injury proned, 29 year old who'll demand a contract worth about £40m".

that's some rate of inflation, the last i heard jones cost £16 million.

didnt Rodwell only played 14 games last year?

too many strikers at the moment, that's why mankini was upset, they won't do his business until they free up the spaces

England Caps;

Jones: 5
Rodwell: 2

Jones is a year younger too.

3 more England caps, he's definately worth the extra £5m then.

It's taken a bit, but City have finally offloaded Adebayor

Steve Bruce 0 caps
"Razor" Ruddock 1 cap.

What's your point?

I bet they still pay 80% of his wages though.

No other team on the planet are dumb enough to pay him that much cash.

Either you maths is really bad or you keep changing the amount we paid for Jones.

Ironic a city supporter is having a go for what we paid for a player

Ade is younger than RvP, will cost Spurs about £19m less and his wages will be considerably lower as well. Let's see how the pair of them get on at their new clubs.
