He is a whopping 6 months younger than RVP.
His wages will be sky high, because he doesn't want to take a pay cut.
Actually, you're right, for Spurs his wages will be low, because City are still paying 80% of them.
City won't be paying a penny of his wages, that's why we're letting him go for £5m.
Wonder who Mancini will buy now De Rossi and Agger have rejected City
We couldn't bid because our owner said "Don't waste £24m of my hard earned on an injury proned, 29 year old who'll demand a contract worth about £40m".
That'll be FFP kicking in
No, common sense kicking in.
No, common sense kicking in.

Did anyone tell Mancini this? He doesn't seem to have that attitude.
What, because he's only bought a 21 year old England international so far?
because he seems to be airing his views about transfers in public.
Ferguson panic buy
Everyone knew the midfield was on a par with a pub team but he gets an old crock in a position already well catered for.White pele and Rooney are far too alike to play together. They would have got Fellaini and Baines for a similar fee combined when wages are taken into account.Senility?
Paul do you ever think sometimes? United have a large number of central midfielders, we need to offload a few to bring in replacements. SAF has acknowledged we have a problem in the middle of the park, but the reason I stated is why we aren't bringing no one in. We've also got Petrucci making the step up, and the new boy Powell. Also, do you think Everton are that thick to sell two of their best players and gradually decline their squad?
Paul, like his contemporaries are alien to the concept called 'thought'.
Oh well...
Everton were desperate for money,if utd had done the deals before we gave them some cash for Rodwell, they would've been far more likely to do the transfers.
You only have carrick who is a top 6 player in the centre mid
Its good to see such loyalty to ferguson but you know as I do that he's not strengthened where he needed to.
Last nights Arsenal like performance should have told you all you needed to know
As much as Paulpowersleftfoot might be an imp, he makes a few salient points.
Ferguson's loyalty has led to him making some bizzare decisions in the last few years. I wrote an article about this but was blasted by certain fans.
And we are primarily a counter-attacking team, yesterday we were imitating Arsenal with this tiqua-taca nonsense: tip, tap, tap, tip...No one had the gumption to shoot.
Desperate for money how? Are they on the brink of bankruptcy? If they sell their best players they'd regress and fall down the table, they won't get adequate replacements with no CL football so they have no need to sell anyone. Rodwell wasn't even on the window, City came with a bid and they got him. It was probably relief on Moyes and the fans, they have probably given up on him. As I said, if we want to buy central midfielders we need to sell some first.
Regarding Baines, there was nothing solid about our interest but silly tabloid talk. There was many sources on ESPN claiming United hadn't even approached Everton for him. We've got Buttner now, nothing known about him but we have to give him time to settle and see how he performs.
Not solved utds need for a big dominant centre mid though.I think it will cost utd the league. With Fellaini I think you would rightly be seen as favourites, without him I think city should be favourites
City are favourites regardless who United sign, you're champions so you'll always be backed to retain the league. If Anderson stays fit and partners Carrick we'll be fine. Anderson can drive the ball forward and Carrick can break up play, it's the perfect partnership really. We've got a big squad now, strengthened attack and added depth to our weak area in LB. Powell could also shine for us, there's so much time for everyone to settle and gel starting with Fulham on Saturday. Shouldn't you be worried you have no cover for Kompany who's prone to injury?
We will have another CB before the windows shut
That's the only area that's needed to strengthen for us
I look forward to finding out who that will be.
OK Kompany had some injuries early in his career, but how many matches has he missed for City through injury?! You shouldn't rely on FM for your football knowledge so much x
I'm not saying he's injury prone of the Hargreaves ilk, but how many times did he get injured in pre season? And didn't he pick up an injury last season too? By the by, I've never played FM.
I look forward to finding out who that will be.
