I'm sure Mancini would give his left nut for Kagawa.

I thought Ando was OK last night. He might be a bit heavier but that will make him harder to knock off the ball. As Carrick and Scholes have shown, you don't need to be quick to play in midfield (not that I'm comparing him to them).

He doesn't have a left nut to give.

Mancini = Alan Bertouche

Yeah the ref yesterday got a few things wrong, I think both sides could of had at least no penalty, he was giving little things against us but for Everton, Scholes could/ should have been off, Fellani made 9 or 10 fouls without a card.

He was poor for both teams though, which appears to eb al you can ask for these days.

Pedantic as it is, Fellaini went off in injury time, but the time wasn't added on....!!!

I actually thought he looked a little trimmer than the start of pre-season. He also had a look of determination about him that is sometimes lacking. I hope that is a sign of things to come this season.

Ando isn't as big as people make out, in the game against hannover he also seem to have found that speed he used to have.

yeh i wondered that, Nani and Scholes get a yellow for their first tackle of the game.

Fellaini does 9-10 tackles 6 of which were when we were on a break and he receives nothing

Watch the replay again - he placed his legged in the perfect position so it would get caught.

Rooney did the same thing in pre-season.

I was actually chatting to my dad about it. The old man used to play as a fast winger many moons ago and he still maintains to this day that if you know the challenge is coming then you have far less chance of an injury if YOU chose when to fall and not leave it to the opposition,

I always say that a player has no obligation to to jump out of the way of a challenge and has every right to make sure he is clipped and go down in a way he choses. It helps to avoid injuries for starters.

Tevez didn't cheat and neither did Tevez for me. Young's notorious dive last season was exactly the same.

........

This happens all the time, the amount of times he gets away with an elbow to the head is ridiculous.

I love Sir Alex but even I can admit that he is far from the most gracious loser. I wouldn't change him as his feisty style has done wonders for us but he is not in any way a good loser.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, in front of the media he is not a good loser.
But i remember reading in Neville's book that he is always the first one to congratulate the opposition manager when we loose to them.
But that is done in person, not via media.
In media, he says exactly what he thinks he shd say to
1. Keep the players away from media criticism.
2. Try and get into the mind of next opposition manager.
3. Making sure that refs protect our players.

Most of his peers, even some direct rivals highly respect him and know abt the work he has done for the league managers association.

All last nights wretched display told us was that Utd have strengthened the wrong areas again and that the PL trophy will be staying in Manchester again rather than following the tumbleweed down Deansgate still in situ after utds sparsely attended trophy parade referred to locally as "the embarrassment"

Rubbish. He regularly gives credit to the opposition teams and managers. You just have to have the brains to go and have a look for the full interview rather than the edited version or the selective quotes that they use in the papers.

I suggest you go and have a look at the games that we lost last season and then search for the full interviews that SAF has given. You will find on almost every occasion that he gives the opposition any deserved credit.

We've added depth to our attack, bought a midfielder in Powell and also bought a LB this morning. There's 2 weeks left of the window, you don't know what will happen in that time. You're close to signing Sinclair and have Rodwell, is that strengthening the depth of your defence?

posted on 21/8/12

well, that's it then. according to paul, city, having scraped past cannon fodder at home have sealed the title, and we're left battling for second place with chelsea.

Anyway, it's much better being joint top rather than joint bottom going into Autumn.

we may as well pull out of the league after last nights performance
