Read the article. It's not the top united forwards of last twenty five years. labouring under a misapprehension againVC.
................
What misapprehension am I labouring under?
This is your opening comment:
The last couple of days there have been plenty of articles on Wayne so I thought I would pose this question. Where does Wayne rank alongside the best forwards we have had at the club in the last twenty five years?
.................
No i clarified it earlier. anyway I would still put tevez in. its like banging your head against a brick wall cos we all hate him but in his time with us he gave everything and was fantastic. Fans want to forget that but it's true.

...........
I know, I hjust copied and pasted it.
You are gobbing off again, anmd making yourself look stupid.
And you are really making it easy for me to keep ridiculing you.
VC that doesn't mean you exclusively judge them on the time with us. Either way Tevez still makes it. I assume you didn't see him play for us much?
anyway I would still put tevez in.
.............
This is because you are an idiot.
We have already covered this.
We;ll have to disagree on the link up play and technique bud
I assume you didn't see him play for us much?
.............
Well, I remember he was very good for one season and very bad for the next.
He was outscored by Vidic in the league, and out assisted by John O'Shea for gods sake.
you remember wrong then.
that's why we were all singing for the boss to sign him up. and i wish he had stayed. i can't stand him now but i still stand by the fact he is one of the most talented players we have had at the club.

I wondered what ever happened to those cretins.
Sorry mate but you're having a laygh if you think Tevez is one of the most talented players we have ever had at the club
I am not having a laugh.
He is world class in the true meaning of the word and leads the line for the champions now as he did for us. He was immense when he came on in the euro cup final.
Tevez had 1 good season with us, for the whole second season his second touch was a tackle. Would barely make a top 50 of United players

Exactly.
The issue here is we all hate him and he plays for city. but to deny he is world class and say his second season was poor is childish. the whole ground were singing sign him up for most of that last season because we loved him and because he was a fantastic player
The issue here is we all hate him and he plays for city.
................
The issue here is that we all don't rate him as a player like you.
He was very poor in his second season for us, and the bad character traits that have been on full view to City were evident then to most of us, and especially to SAF.
the whole ground were singing sign him up for most of that last season because we loved him
.....................
Reason there that fans should never be in control of a football club.
And some of our matchgoing fans are not the sharpest knives in the drawer, as displayed on this site on a daily basis.
If I could be bothered I reckon I could name a more than 100 more talented players players that have been at United
The Trinity and several others of the babes including Dunac Edwards and Dennis Violet
The seventies and eighties players like Coppel Macari Thomas Jordan Whiteside Pancho Mcqueen Hill Robbo Mcilroy etc etc
in the PL era Irwin Cantona Hughes Giggs Scholes Keane Scmeichel Kanchelskis Ronaldo Bruce Pallister Stam Beckham Rooney Vidic Ferdinand Ince and many more I'm sure I've missed
You really think tevez would make United's top 100 all time players?
missed the h off Schmeics
It's all subjective and i appreciate that two of the better posters on here have given their view. obviously best, Edwards etc would be better but this is in the last twenty five years. even then you list of plenty but we are talking forwards and again i am sure you could list plenty that in your opinion are better.
As I say I stand by what I have said. There isn't much in it between him and Wayne on their day but Wayne doesn't have his day like he can do very often. As for Tevez, he leads the line for city and his country. Without doubt he is a world class player and i would say he was performing better with us than he has at city, which shows how good he is.

Mate
I realise the initial thread was about forwards in the last 25 years but you made a comment that Tevez was one of the most talented players ever at United
That threw me into the comment I thought you was having a laugh
Tevez still would not make my top five forward players and not even the top ten if you include attacking players like kanchelskis
the top ten if you include attacking players like kanchelskis
............
Which he did do, by throwing in Ronaldo.
Ronaldo was and is more of a forward now.
agree to disagree then. To be honest i am not that comfortable having this debate anyway because i can't stand the man. You just wonder how long before he gets in hot water again.
I agree with carrickature, I felt Tevez was a better player than Wayne when he was with us and has improved at City.
I think its slightly unfair to judge Tevez solely on his time at united because ferguson always favoured rooney and rarely gave Tevez the same freedom
I wonder how well Rooney would do if he had to go to City and start playing second fiddle, fewer games and sometimes out of position.
I also agree with carrickature about interplay and technique.
I expect Van persie to be our number one this year with kagawa in behind.
However my list would be:
Cantona
Ronaldo
York
Cole
Tevez
