"guys do you think your little circle of 2 or 3 numbskulls who think iniesta is rubbish are kool, abit like those 14year olds vir-gins who smoke to try to look kool in front of other kids"
You mad bro?
he's got a great eye for those incisive through passes that many don't.
---
So why doesn't he create goalscoring opportunities? Surely with his great incisive passing, why does he always trail Xavi and Cesc in the assist brackets?
2nd half. Here we go
Come on PSG you useless twáts.
Why are some of you basing Iniesta's ability on stats? If we're judging players on stats, I can safely conclude Chris Brunt is a superior player to Xavi.
The first half of the PSG game was tosh. Ibrahimovic and Pastore the only bright sparks, the rest may as well not be on the pitch.
Why are some of you basing Iniesta's ability on stats
Oh so are you going to pull out the "he assists the assister" crap now?

People always come out with this.
Assists are a good indication to see how consisten a no10 is at creating chances. For example, Cesc gets 20+ assists because of his consistent chance creation.
Also, Brunt and Xavi play different positions.
Ibrahimovic was crap. So wasteful. Pastore is class though.
Wow Bordeuax number 3 is an absolute tard.
It's funny saint, 109 comments in and we still haven't come to terms with what iniesta's role is in a team and how that contributes to the team's success
Iniesta is the 3rd best player in the world.
End.
I know you girls mightn't understand the importance of players who keep a team ticking over by constantly picking out a teammate. It's a far harder task than Iniesta makes it look too, especially as he plays the correct pass 99% of the time. Perhaps you think there's no "role" or value in playing football that way, but the Barcelona Way is to stop the opponents from scoring by never letting them have the ball, and players as gloriously gifted in keeping posession as Iniesta have been the underlying reason for their success, as well as Spain's.
Again you'd proabably prefer it if Iniesta attempted some low percentage amazing lobbed passes into the striker, and that's cool. Each to their own I suppose. But trying to make him out to be a nothing player, well I couldn't feel more embarassed for you if you were inebriated and pantless in a town centre at midday.
And yet the 3rd best player in the world has no defining role or characteristic which makes him so vital to the teams he plays for

If the world ended and there were 3 people left on it then yea.

iniesta would crack the top 25 players in the world i think, maybe.

So basically what you're trying to say is he keeps possession and is the equivalent of leon britton
nice one

Several times in 09-10 I think it was, I remember watching a Spurs game on Sky Sports. As I can recall, Bale had received the ball and then just totally outpaced and glided past three different players. He then crossed it into the box only for Crouch to knock it down and then a player (can't remember who it was) scored.
Crouch got creditted with the assist despite doing all the hard work.
My point is that the assist is usually the final ball or cross that leads to a goal, that's it. It could just be a simple 5 yard pass despite a player weaving his way through to help create the opportunity.
For the record, Fabregas is Barcelona's most efficient midfielder, but he's not the best (yet).
He's purely there based on his immense creativity, he doesn't play in a standard position, not sure what you are talking about.
Shocking article. No mention of Yana Banana being better than him.
