ward prowse without the set piece ability is a very accurate comparison in fairness.

winks would be good for southampton, hes not a championship player like what has been lazily labelled about imo. Although i think he could have been a lot better by now if he was loaned like Skipp has been

I don't think Winks would look out of place in the Championship. But yeah he could do a job for a Southampton or a Watford

Rodri is pretty terrible defensively - him not being able to do the job fernandinho does is a big reason why city were such a mess defensively last season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Laporte was injured for the majority of last season meaning ferdandinho dropped in at CB without a class CB next to him. Rodri is a class DM. I think you are mistaken or we just don't agree on him.

Wonder if he could be tempted to go to norwich in exchange for Aarons seeing as the departure of Skipp will leave a big hole for them to fill.

I've seen that idea kicked around on Reddit. We take Skipp back, loan them Winks. When they're done with Winks we loan them White..

I'd rather we cashed in. We need the money and he needs a frest start.

I could see it working like the Danny Rose redemption arc. He goes with a point to prove and shows us all how good he is.

still need to cash in on some non homegrown players so we can sign players in the summer lol

He's a 25 year old homegrown England international who's put in excellent champions league performances - he isn't going to go to a team who's only hope is to avoid relegation

There's a middle ground between "great player who can start for a title winning team" and "belongs on a team who'll be praying to hit 40 points"

Come on. We all know that's sugar coating. Jack Wilshire put in excellent CL performances

Get rid of our foreign Tory boy or dare I say Toby due to his age, nothing more plus Sissoko, one of Lucas or Lamela or both would be my wish. Serge has a year left in the summer so he could be gone too? Plenty of non HG players can go.

posted on 8/3/21

Dier and Sissoko talking up non HG spots. Davies can go to make room for Sessegnon

Jack Wilshere has a worse Injury history than prince Phillip ffs that's a horrible comparison

Winks is far more likely to be playing in the champions league next season than he is to be playing for a team in the bottom half of the table. Far more likely.

Fair enough

Yes he's almost certainly going to be playing for Spurs next season

Ropey league team seems more realistic than CL.

Midgetland?

posted on 8/3/21

In all seriousness he's not getting in to the CL sides in Spain, Italy, France, or Germany.. I doubt he'd want a move to Portugal. Maybe he could do a job for Ajax?

posted on 8/3/21

Haven’t watched Southampton much this season - but JWP was pretty good last year. Really took a step up I thought, definitely outperformed PEH who didn’t quite have the mobility to cope in Hassenhuttl’s system

Nah he’d definitely make a few of their elevens. Lazio, Mongchentoughtospell and Rennes

posted on 8/3/21

We'll have to disagree on that. I'd say maybe their 25s.

Even so, you'd have to wonder if he'd take the move. Might as well hang on here
