He is right though, the vile are useless.
They mean nothing in football these days. They were a big club but not anymore!
Amateur? He makes a fair point tbh.
Your club has a fanbase that's only in Birmingham pretty much yet you make hundreds of millions on the back of bigger clubs in your league.
Can't see what's wrong with that myself.
Is there any reason why Newco director Charles Green has so publicly sought to slur Aston Villa?
No, he's just an idiot, plain and simple really.
Man is an attention seeker pay him no heed.
The guy is a slabbering clown.
He probably beats Craig Whyte in the talking pash stakes.
Pay no attention to him Villa fans, he's just off his nut!
Whether or not you agree with his views, to cite one of the EPL'S bigger and more established clubs and (more to the point) brandish the word "useless" really illustrates how out of his depth this man is. Rangers might not have, but his chap has found his level in the fourth tier of Scottish football.
Just another example of him embarassing himself as well as Rangers, very sad to see how far a once proud club has fallen.
He is comparing the relative earnings of 2 teams at opposite ends of the EPL - both get similar amounts out, but Villa put a lot less in.
And that's the problem.
When's the last time Villa won anything? Didn't Bimingham win the Carling Cup more recently than Villa?
I'm sure the OP can enlighten us. I would like to know how many supporters clubs around the world Villa have as well.
Green makes a fair point as I've said. Would anyone on here bar the OP tune into a Villa v Swansea game? I know I wouldn't make a point of watching it.
Why single out any club when making this comparision?
Dont you think its extremely undignified and unprofessional to do so whilst not up holding the traditions of your club?
Sounds like something a wee club would do.
I see this post was quickly jumped on by the dhim hoards. No wonder all the Rangers fans have left this board these days. The two Admins must be well happy with the Celtic fans on here driving one of the busiest boards on here to be so quiet. Still busier than the Villa Board though.
They will soon be left posting to themselves and...

An Aberdeen fan also explaining my point.
Last time Villa won something was 1996, though dont see how that gives the chief exec of a fourth tier Scottish club licence to tell the BBC they are "useless"
So that we're on a level playing field, maybe you'd like to enlighten us the last time Rangers were champions of Europe?

Cheer up sonny. You won't be playing against good teams away from home all the time.

Have to agree
And I'm a Gers fan.
Don't get me wrong, I think Green is the type of no-nonsense guy we need just now but this article does not do him any favours.
We don't need superleagues that just cater to the big/rich clubs. We need UEFA to follow through with their financial restriction rules and for individual FAs and clubs within those to actually develop the game correctly in their respective countries. As usual the greed brigade are out for themselves and won't be happy until they've created an even bigger gulf between the big clubs and the rest.
When the last time you made a European final Ned?
Castle
Maybe rangers fans have become a wee bit too sensitive?
Ned
This is a team who have played 4 away games and still can't beat a bunch of pizza delivery boys despite having a wage budget of 6m+ a year! The Stirling Albion scorer on Saturday works in Aldi's!
Reality check indeed!
So that we're on a level playing field, maybe you'd like to enlighten us the last time Rangers were champions of Europe?
Well they did win the ECWC in 1972 but were unable to defend it the year after.
But you are correct defunct Rangers FC were never champions of Europe like Villa and Forest.
With a bit of luck Rued we'll draw you in the league cup and put you rightly in your place (as ever) just like Motherwell.

Nail on head Castle: I like many others tend to just ignore these boring obsessive dhims, and as such there is little opportunity left for discussion and or banter.
The real problem of course being that everyone outside of Rangers hoped and thought that we would all just go away and die quietly, but instead are returning stronger and better supported than ever.
A truly loyal support.
