Dortmund have spent £9m Net in last 5 years......yet have won two titles and two German Cups. And have basically handed Bayern a good few beatings in the meantime. And are one of the favs for the CL this year.
Proof that Money isn't everthing. And their ticket prices are something like 12 quid. Less than a child's ticket at most PL clubs.

imagine how much money we would from a sponsor for old trafford
That'd feel like selling the club's soul if it ever happened, hope the Glazers don't consider it
I don't really get what has changed since the last meeting, they have still agreed in principle and haven't agreed the detail. Surely that is the same as it was in September? I'm surprised if some of the clubs that abstained last time have agreed to it.
The problem is, there are only a few clubs that are either in the process of being invested in, or are currently trying to be. Any team either lower down the league or at the top and already profitable will want this, so it was only really going to go one way.
I do have to say as a broader principle, not just talking as a City fan (honest!), I do find it slightly incredible that in the current economic situation, football is trying to curb investment. I'm surprised the government hasn't rang them up yet asking what the hell they are doing!

Are not United in debt to the tune of something like half a billion. Pot and kettle mate. Spending money you do not have.

How are we spending money we don't have you old fool All our money is self generated, we don't ask the banks for loans to buy the likes of RVP.

man utd as a club do have the money , its the owners who dont and are using UTDs profits to pay their debts in buying the club
No one should be allowed to buy a club unless they have at least 75% of the money themselves

Without money, in particular Bayerns money, they wouldn't exist. The reason their tickets are cheap is because the council subsidise match day travel and infrastructure in Germany, so tickets as a whole are cheaper. Having said that, ultimately everyone pays for it as it is taxpayers money.
Thank you Weare, someone who understands the situation without talking utter kak.

I actually like the sound of that.
And it still beats the Emptyhad.
We're in debt with the banks because our owners took out loans to buy the club, now the self generated income is being used to pay off the debts yearly. Do we go to these banks to fund our transfer kitty? No, I don't think so..
we sponsor city's stadium anyway
